Cops stand around cracking jokes about the man they have in custody while he passes right before their eyes. Million dollar lawsuit as a result.

Anthony "Tony" Timpa called 911 from a parking lot on Mockingbird Lane, panicked and pleading for help. Timpa explicitly informed the dispatcher that he suffered from schizophrenia and depression, was off his medication, and had taken cocaine.

​When Dallas police officers arrived, Timpa was already handcuffed by private security guards who had responded to reports of him running into traffic. Officers took him in to custody on the ground, and Officer Dustin Dillard held him in place for nearly 14 minutes.

As Timpa continued to try to get up all while asking for aid, officers ignored his comments. When he eventually stopped moving, officers mistook his breathing for snoring. Believing he had simply fallen asleep, they joked about making him waffles, buying him new shoes, and waking him up for the "first day of school."

​Paramedics administered a sedative and loaded Timpa onto a stretcher. Shortly after loading him up the paramedics recognized his passing. Later an autopsy was performed and ruled his de@th a homicide caused by mechanical asphyxiation combined with the stress of restraint and the toxic effects of cocaine.

​The City of Dallas kept the bodycam footage sealed for nearly three years. It was only made public following an extensive legal battle waged by the Dallas Morning News and Timpa’s family.

​a grand jury indicted three officers—Dustin Dillard, Danny Vasquez, and Kevin Mansell—on misdemeanor charges of deadly conduct.

However, the Dallas County District Attorney dismissed all criminal charges, stating medical experts could not definitively attribute the cause of death solely to officer recklessness. The officers were immediately reinstated to active duty.

​A federal civil jury determined that officers violated Timpa’s constitutional rights and awarded $1 million to his son. However, qualified immunity shielded the officers from individual financial liability, leaving the City of Dallas—and taxpayers—to pay the judgment.

None of the officers involved faced jail time, lost their police certifications, or paid personal damages. How does this make you feel, justice served or two tier justice system?

He has now filed a federal lawsuit on their behalf against the City of Charlotte and two CMPD officers.

Claiming they unlawfully arrested him for smoking legal hemp that police mistook for marijuana—which led to the use of excessive force.

Incident occurred at a bus stop in the Steele Creek neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina.

She comes back and catches the mechanics under the hood. They had already removed her motor and were taking parts out of her new vehicle.

En España, una niña de 13 años fue secuestrada y violada por un vecino. El agresor fue condenado a solo 9 años de prisión.

Tras cumplir apenas 6 años de su condena, fue liberado condicionalmente y regresó a la ciudad. Un día se encontró con la madre de la niña cerca de una parada de autobús.
