The Moroccan government is now saying that the Ceuta migration wave was organized and amplified through social media.

A similar campaign is currently being run on TikTok, where people from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq are being encouraged to migrate through Russia and Belarus and enter Europe via the Baltic states. These migration campaigns have been coordinated using phone numbers registered in Russia and Ukraine.

It appears that, alongside Belarus, similar operations are now being organized through Morocco and other African countries.

Hostile actors are exploiting migration to destabilize European states while simultaneously boosting pro-Kremlin far-right parties that campaign heavily on anti-immigration platforms.

A year ago, I went looking for something like a Great Replacement Tracker — a site that aggregated all the demographic data for the West and could tell me how bad things really were. To my surprise, I couldn't find one. So six months ago, I started building it myself.

Today, I'm announcing the first live version of the Great Replacement Clock. It tracks the European-descended share of the world's population and of 45 historically White countries. It consolidates historical figures and modeled projections into a single interactive timeline — sourced, auditable, and methodologically transparent.

Accurate ethnic demographic data for Western countries is uniquely difficult to access. No country directly tracks the share of its population that is of European descent. Several nations prohibit or restrict its collection outright; France's ban on ethnic statistics is the most prominent but not the only case. In other countries, official statistics obscure long-term trends through inconsistent census categories and aggregation methods that flatten meaningful distinctions. They miss and misclassify people in predictable ways: bundling Middle Eastern and North African populations into "White," absorbing later-generation immigrants into "native," or recording European immigrants to other European countries as merely "foreign." The US illustrates this: up through 2020, federal standards classified Middle Eastern and North African populations as White.

The result is a landscape in which some of the most consequential facts about the trajectory of Western societies are among the hardest to establish with precision.

This project exists to close that gap. It draws on the best available demographic evidence to reconstruct the European-descended share of each population across time, using a consistent definition across countries and eras. The sources, assumptions, and adjustments behind every figure are open to inspection.

This is a v1. If you spot a questionable figure, please flag it for review. I welcome feedback and contributions. This tool will only get better with time.

Demographic composition is a matter of public interest, not a protected secret. We deserve to know what time it is.

Islam has a problem with freedom, democracy, pork, dogs, music, Christmas, Zoroastrians, Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, Christians, women who do not wear the hijab, people who leave the faith, and even those who draw the Prophet of Islam who, according to widely recognised Islamic sources, was betrothed to Aisha when she was six.

Yet if we say that we have a problem with Islam or choose to criticise it, we are immediately branded “Islamophobes” or “anti-Muslim”. Some even call for jihad or declare critics apostates, while others justify their killing.

If an ideology claims the right to judge, restrict, condemn or even excommunicate everyone else, why should that ideology itself be exempt from criticism?

Why should Islam be treated as a protected taboo? The fact that some Muslims respond to criticism with threats or attempts to silence others should never force us into self-censorship. Instead, it should reinforce the principle that no religion or ideology is above criticism in a free society.

After eight years, I’ve decided to step back from my role leading the technical direction of @session_app

Cofounding Session eight years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. What began as a whitepaper and a dream grew into an app that has been downloaded more than 10 million times and is now used by more than a million people each month to send and receive private messages.

None of this would have been possible without the developers, designers, contributors and community members who poured their time and talent into Session, or the backers who believed in Session’s vision and supported us along the way. Together, we helped improve privacy and security for millions of people and showed what decentralised technology could achieve at genuine consumer scale.

It’s no secret that Session has faced significant funding challenges over the past year. Throughout this period, my focus was on helping the project find a sustainable path forward. When Session needed support most, the community stepped up and donated more than $200,000 towards its continued development. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed.

With renewed energy behind the project, I feel this is the right time for me to take a break and spend some time exploring other interests. Yet another flood of videos from Russians weeping over the "shock" and "unfairness" of strikes on a Wildberries warehouse.

​It doesn't cross their minds how unfair it felt when we were just living our lives, bothering no one, in our own country and our own homes, right up until their missiles started tearing our cities apart on a chilly winter morning.

​You want to talk about unfair? People lived in Donbas, built businesses and raised families, until russian nazis arrived with Girkin and his thugs, declaring those people couldn't live there anymore. People evacuated, leaving their homes to Girkin's mob for pennies or nothing at all. They moved to Kharkiv, kept paying mortgages on Donetsk apartments that russians stole or destroyed, because credit history mattered, and rebuilt from scratch. They bought new homes, started new businesses. But bloodthirsty russian bastards found them here too, ruining their lives a second time. Bombing them for years, killing, burning. That is what’s unfair.

​When peaceful families have to hide from Russian bombs inside a theater, that feels unfair. When, hoping for a shred of humanity in their attackers, they paint "CHILDREN" in massive letters outside, and russians bomb it anyway, slaughtering everyone inside, isn't that unfair? When survivors crawl out of the rubble, stepping over neighbors' bodies and the ashes of their homes, only to be dragged into filtration camps, stripped naked, robbed of every even remotely valuable thing, and also basic human dignity just for the "privilege" of fleeing the ruins of their own city, is that not unfair?

​It is overwhelmingly, fucking unfair when a young woman can't hear a drone over her own exhaustion from never ending russian attacks. Now she lies trapped in her bed, pinned by a collapsed ceiling. She’s alive, but can not move because of the rubble. She smells smoke from the spreading fire, hears her neighbors screaming as they burn alive, and all she can think is that dying under the ceiling would have been a mercy compared to burning alive.

​It’s unfair when an elderly woman and her goats are murdered by a first person view drone for the sick entertainment of a some russian operator. It's unfair when a 2-year-old child is hunted and butchered on his grandparents' porch for the crime of being a Ukrainian child in Ukraine, and only for that.

​And a stupid Wildberries warehouse? That’s not unfair. It isn't even close.
