“the liberals do not ‘own’ these seats and these women are not ‘anti-liberal’. they are ‘pro australia’, and our country is lucky that women of their calibre are running for office.”
@juliahbanks on @LiberalAus’s vile treatment of #independent women.

PM is scared of an ICAC with real powers. He doesn’t want retrospectivity or public accountability. There is complete lack of integrity, fiscal discipline, accountability of decision making & probity in allocation of public $ by Govt. Time for #integrity & #ClimateAction#auspol
Yes, our media are a disgrace. False narratives about Climate200 funding (all publicly declared) and being a party with some sort of sinister agenda whilst the Coal ition with a truly psychopathic no duty of care sinister agenda get off smirking Scott free!
This👇🏼was put to me today for the coverage of election issues so far - ‘dead cat strategy’🤔there have been NO questions to @ScottMorrisonMP on climate change policy, help for communities ravaged by floods & fires or dire warnings in latest @IPCC_CH?🤷♀️#ausvotes#ClimateCrisis 🌏
We’re backing Australia’s future tradies, plumbers, tilers & chefs to get more Aussie apprentices into jobs.
Our continued support for the skills sector will help lock in Australia’s economic recovery by giving opportunities for apprentices & certainty for businesses.

Not quite true - the efficiency of EV’s corrects for this. But more if we all had EV’s with bi-directional charging then there’d be so much car battery storage on the grid RE can get to 100%
@SophieScamps@RichForrest2 Sorry Dr. Sophie. Short to medium term pollution will increase as the Majority of EVs are charged from a coal fired grid.
They only really come into their own when there is good recharge infrastructure around the country and the fuel, electricity, is sourced from renewables.
How do we protect our community & our elections from the influence of dirty tricks? Without robust laws to stop lies in political advertising, it's up to us.
That's why I'm launching Report Misinformation today. https://t.co/bkQiMf7epR #auspol
Agree Mark but also by divesting their super, pension, insurance company and bank. If we all took away their investment and insurance as well as their markets….
No relax everyone, this is a government supported and enabled by a judiciary of psychopaths who don’t have a “duty of care”. When you vote for them you vote for a fuck you all government!
Relax, just what you’d expect for an integrated grid predominantly supplied with renewables - export and store any excess import and take from store or curtail when there’s shortage, but these problems will all melt away when we all have EV’s - 2 days of storage in car batteries.
@NigelHo49217653 The average spot price you may see is not the price the wind farms receive. Forward contracts using higher prices than actual market rates, subsidised loans, gov subsidies, CO2 certificates tip the scales in their favour. Remember that solar PV $/kWh don't follow the spot prices.
@zalisteggall How's going full renewables working for Germany with highest power prices in Europe & increasing it's dependence on its neighbours to keep Germany running through winter & absorb the occasional excess during other times (foreign grid stabilisation). Only practical with higher $$$
