@essexhighways Unbelievable ! Ground temperatures will not descend below freezing. But please, Cover the roads in aggressive salt, to destroy the roads and our vehicles. Well Done.
@essexhighways All the damage to our roads is caused by the use of highly corrosive Salt. All European countries use a less aggressive liquid antifreeze. To save money, UK still uses Cheap Salt. This damages all our roads and vehicles.
@slimelia@essexhighways rubbish. also the ground temperature was/is not below freezing. Essex did not need the salting. just destroying vehicles and roads.
@essexhighways Dumping more aggressive salt onto the roads unecessarly. The roads are buried in salt, Destroying the roads and all vehicles. Is this not monitored?
@VProfanisaurus In 1983 I was a young army cadet. On an NCO's cadre in Bassingbourn barracks, Queens Div HQ. The Instructor, A huge caracter, of the old school army said this quote to me. And I've never heard it since. And Ill never forget it. Especially as 20 years later I too was in Bagdad !
@essexhighways Finally enough rain to wash all the corrosive salt from our roads. And WHoop Whoop they are out spreading it all over the roads again tonight. Completely unnecessary, Waste of tax payers money. Damage to vehicles and roads infrastructure. All because of budgets and overtime pay.
@essexhighways I don't understand it ?
Is this to reduce the stockpile of salt for next years budget ? Is this to provide promised overtime ?
Why are the gritters going out ? To me its a waste of taxpayers money, not mentioning the damage caused to the roads and vehicles.
