Taken fifty-five years ago, my old colour slide shows a Class 24 locomotive hauling a single parcels van, approaching from the Shrewsbury direction.

In the Oswestry bay platform a departmental coach is stabled with goods being either loaded or unloaded.

The first shot was taken just before Bristol Bath Rd was demolished around 2000 and the second yesterday, a blank canvas for redevelopment. Both taken from the grounds of an old house used by the GWR visible above the six lane shed from the end of Platform 12 at Temple Meads.
