I declined my YC interview this batch. This would’ve sounded insane to me 4 months ago, when I was crushed that I didn’t get in.

Somewhere along the way, it clicked that YC doesn’t make the company good; you do.

If you got in, congrats! If you didn’t, keep building and iterating.

Customers can come from the most unexpected places.

A founder told me yesterday that their first user was their Uber driver.

You genuinely never know who your customer could be, so tell everyone you can about your product.

Yesterday I bumped into a founder from a hackathon I did months ago. 15 minutes later he needed exactly what we're building and is becoming a customer!
