My grandmother is an ethnic Chechen. She went to the front at the age of 16 (she attributed to herself 2 years of age in order to be accepted into the army). She was a sniper who killed 69 Nazis. After a through wound in the head, in the eye area, she continued to fight.

My maternal grandfather began the battle against Nazism from the very first day of WW II as part of the Polish army. After he became part of the Red Army of the USSR. After the end of the WW II, for 4 years he fought with the Ukrainian collaborators of Nazism.

My grandfather, who fought Nazism near Stalingrad, received a shrapnel wound near Kharkov (Ukraine), besieged and stormed Koenigsberg. One of my heroes in the battle against Nazism and fascism.
