@LastBlairite I said exactly the same thing but I’m always wary of the “performance against Albion” bias. He was always brilliant against us but is it just one of those players who has a hoodoo over us but is actually not that good?
@20LEGEND_99@DazzaDavies That would be ridiculous take from those fans Fergie rebuilt United on buying the best players from those clubs. And then in subsequent years added them to already set up teams
@rickyleegriffi@0wenWB4 I was gonna say this I swear he only moved there in like March. I know clubs are always quick on this shit but my god that’d be a rocket turnaround
@20LEGEND_99@DazzaDavies It’d be similar to if United had signed Rice from West Ham a couple of years ago. That would have been considered a marquee signing.
@20LEGEND_99@DazzaDavies Robson was a marquee signing when you signed him. He was considered one of the best young players in the world when he played for Albion (who were also higher in the league than United during that era) and United spent a British transfer record on him.
@HLTCO If I want that sort of talk I will listen to podcasts but there has been a push towards the ranty bantz than the footballing analysis that even that platform once offered
@HLTCO I agree but I’m not sure the majority would. How many times do you see people longing after Mersons “if they don’t play in England they can’t be that good”. In depth analysis and well thought out arguments get put down as PC nonsense and ranting gets praised…
@OliMac741@HLTCO Bazunu is bizarre. Spoke to some Stoke fans recently who were less than complimentary. Peretz was equally bizarre but brilliant made some key saves against Albion at our place but spent breaks in play running forward talking to midfield and strikers. Covered so much ground 😂
@priv_756@OliMac741@HLTCO Why bother commenting at all then? Typical key board warrior coward can throw insults but hides behind an account terrified of his own inadequacies
@OliMac741@HLTCO I’m not saying he’s a bad manager by any stretch I just think in the grand scheme of things he was given the biggest advantages to be successful in this league. If he was to get those results next season with more financial restrictions and Burnley Wolves and WHU in the league 👏
@OliMac741@HLTCO I think a good young manager is a fair comment. A quality manager is someone that does something that goes beyond their squads ability. My point has always been that Eckert did exactly what that squad was always capable of doing and nothing more
@OliMac741@HLTCO I actually thought the financial ability to add your keeper from Germany (an utter nut job but brilliant) was a bigger thing than a right back. But that’s just how I saw it
