Exciting news!🥳In mid-2025, I’ll be joining the LCSB at the University of Luxembourg as an Associate Professor! Interested in working at the intersection of cellular (neuro)biology, neuroimmunology, chemical biology & microscopy? Stay tuned for open positions or drop me an email
@KurianLab Thank you, Leo! That's super kind of you 😊What also deserve celebration is how the German academic hiring process gave us the chance to meet new colleagues and good people 😉🥂
Our lab @TueNeuroCampus is currently seeking a technical and/or research assistant https://t.co/Z4CZGUCvqN. We also have exciting opportunities available for a couple of MSc thesis projects. If you are interested, please contact me via email!
On #FluorescenceFriday get your vote* in for your favourite JCS cover from 2023! Voting is open until Monday 22 January.

* we also have some fantastic images that don't use fluorescence microscopy!!
We're looking for new team member(s) to join us @TueNeuroCampus. The position(s) can be filled at the technician or research assistant level. The funding for these positions is currently available until 31.12.24. Interested? Please contact me by email. The advert link coming soon
Super proud of our new PhD! Existence is pain, as Nevena liked to put it and remind us of during difficult moments. But then there are great achievements and happy memories like these! @cheerful_neuron can now (finally) enjoy her life as a cheerful PhD! Congratulations again! 🥳
Looking forward to the exciting program @SMLM_Symposium in Vienna! If you would like to hear about our work on small labeling tags using click chemistry and unnatural amino acids, come to my talk on Wednesday or approach me during the conference #SMLMS2023
We're very happy to announce the conference program for SMLMS 2023! Looking forward to all of the upcoming presentations. See you in Vienna! 😎 #SMLMS2023

Made by overlaying 3 independent images of neuronal cell lines expressing click-labelled neurofascin 186, this isn't the most physiologically relevant illustration of our work on click labeling of NF186 and Na+ channels in neurons, but I love the colors & shape of these cells 😊
Issue 12 is complete

Our cover image shows click-labelled NF186 in neuroblastoma cells. Cells expressing three different NF186 constructs overlaid in one image. See article by @cheerful_neuron et al.

On #TechnicalTuesday we are highlighting work by @cheerful_neuron, @Nikic_Lab, et al. on click labelling in neurons. They design AAV vectors to add unnatural amino acid-based tags to their target proteins and use SPIEDAC for labelling.

Thrilled to see this published 🥳 https://t.co/3S2XslKbJn Accompanied by a cover image @J_Cell_Sci and @cheerful_neuron's first author interview! 🤗 Very proud of her work and thankful to everyone involved for their contributions!
@petarmarinko@J_Cell_Sci@cheerful_neuron Thanks a lot! And yes, we got a hat-trick with this one! 🍀🍀🍀 I guess that is how Jokic feels with all of his triple-doubles 🏀🤣
@AxonalLab@christlet@J_Cell_Sci@cheerful_neuron Thanks a lot! Also, congrats to Thome et al., on the new ankyrin-G mouse reporter line! We were very excited about the preprint but I have just realized that we missed the chance to mention it in our revised manuscript. Sorry about that!
We're looking for a technical/research assistant to join my lab @TueNeuroCampus. Depending on the starting date, the position will be first limited to 1 or 1.5 years. If you're interested in cell & molecular (neuro)biology, contact me by email. The advert link will follow soon.
