Friday's Tip #232
Lots of movers today. Ignore what everyone else is doing, they have a better system, a better way to trade, better rules, better scanners.
If you are reading a post, and it starts to influence you in any way, move on quickly.
Trading needs to come from ones own trade book, ones own methods, ones own thoughts.
Relax, put some quiet music on, let the trades come to you.
Don't trade the open if you are down on the month or struggling, wait 20 to 30 minutes.
Don't trade small craps if you are down on the month or struggling
Trade with the trend which is up, and trade the leaders.
Don't short dumb stocks like me.
@financedystop Okay now go source the part, install it safely and correctly, then let me know that after solving that issue you didn’t have to solve the main issue that cause that part to break. Another point being electricians and pipe fitters, it’s simple in theory not in application
“ICT” traders are a bunch of guys who flex their vocabularies to newbies. Prove me wrong by showing me an “ICT” trader who got verified by third party auditors.
It’s ridiculous - you’re telling me that thousands of people relying on technical analysis ONLY, and they expect to make money by imagining patterns on candlestick chart?
No market depth, no tape reading, no level 2, no fundamental research - since when has trading become a game of drawing and naming rectangles??

Type4 pattern dynamics- thread:
Structure of type4 pattern is as outlined on image. The key to trading this pattern is recognizing that pattern is developing before it actually completes. By the point 2 or 3 trader should have idea what might be happening there.

Seen some really good writeups floating around and some great trades. Hopefully reading through these will show why I like them so much. Writeups are also a good way to bridge the gap between experience and perspective/different skills. For example Katerino, the least experienced on this list, did a great job of identifying when TSLA became a "move2move"/level to level trade instead of deep unwind potential. And even if Katerino's trade was wrong an experienced trader should be able to provide a successful rebuttal to that trade and explain why it was -ev. I will get to these writeups when I can.
Personally for me it was clear that TSLA wasn't a mammoth opportunity (still high grade) from an intuitive pov but I have to be able to articulate that to others for the concept to be cemented in my own head. Second reading these reviews it is clear how much I was flying blind by jumping in on holiday, when I hadn't really planned to. I could feel it, but I did end up missing more details than I expected.

Some of my personal views of life, success and the universe. 👇
· Life isn’t fair, get used to it! But don’t let it make you feel that you have to play unfair. You don’t.
· Breaking your word and screwing people eventually catches up to you.
· Drugs destroy dreams and alcohol pickles them. There are much better ways to get high naturally on life.
· No one builds something great and lasting by chance. Luck is unreliable. Every week someone wins the lottery, but every week the name is different. The harder you work and the better you practice, the luckier you get.
· Love is your natural state. If you want to change the world, learn to love your enemy.
· Don’t tell people what to do, inspire them by doing it.
· First step to getting rich is to go where the money is. The second step is to forget about the money and focus on being the best at what you do. The third step is to create value for humanity.
· When making big goals, think in decades, not years.
· Learn how to leverage and duplicate yourself.
· Only buy highly depreciating assets with 10% of your liquid net worth.
· Only lend to family and friends what you are willing to give.
· Always get odds on your money.
· Consider your savings at zero. No matter what happens… DON’T TOUCH IT! Ask the question: “what would I do if I didn’t have this money?” And then, do that.
· Ask good questions, you get solutions. Ask bad questions, you get problems and obstacles.
· What you focus on and think about expands and becomes real.
· The key to happiness is in the meaning you assign to events, and YOU are in control of that.
· Choice is the human superpower. Your choices change the world.
· There are no justified excuses for those who truly take responsibility.
· What is bad for one human is bad for the human race.
· There are no justified resentments.
· A mind is like a book, it’s only good when it’s open.
· What is most important to you will always win over what you want the most.
· You can achieve far more than you think you can.
· If you weren’t an important part of the universe, you wouldn’t be here. You matter.
💡My first 2 years in bodybuilding I focused on learning how to train and diet. I needed a coach to help me becoming the best version of myself. The more I got serious into this the more I started to focus on my weak parts like calves. It took time, work, thousand of hours of dedication to reach my goals.
Bring this spirit in every field of your life. You can improve, you can, you must.
Do the same in trading and in whatever you want to succeed.
I keep stressing this over and over but so few listen -
It takes TWO years learn how to trade properly - particularly in getting the mindset correct.
If you trade without taking the time to actually learn how to do it correctly there is a 100% chance that you will LOSE your money.
So unless you are planning to get "lucky" and then walk away, as if you were in a casino, you should NOT be trading with any real amount of actual cash.
The Wiki (in the sub) is specifically designed to bring a trader through the learning process with as little financial damage as possible - please follow it. Clearly I am not selling you anything, I have nothing to shill - I am just telling you the truth.
This IS a learned skill, an attainable occupation - but it takes serious time and effort to get there. If you try to jump ahead and think you know enough right now, then you will find you are out of capital before you even have a chance to learn.
