A sham trial of 🇦🇲hostages, including the leaders of #Artsakh, illegally held in #Azerbaijan, took place in 🇦🇿 yesterday. Some "documents" about the Karabakh war (the 90s) were "published". The former head of the Artsakh FM, D. Babayan, spoke. The next show will be on Sep. 15.
For 713 days, former Artsakh Defense Army Commander Lieutenant General Levon Mnatsakanyan has been unlawfully imprisoned by Azerbaijan’s authoritarian regime.
Today, on his 60th birthday, he remains behind bars in Baku along with other political prisoners, leaders of Artsakh who, like him, sacrificed their own freedom to ensure the safe passage of compatriots forcibly displaced from their homeland.
By decree of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Levon Mnatsakanyan was appointed Minister of Defense and Commander of the Defense Army on June 15, 2015. On December 14, 2018, he was relieved of his duties and, by decree of President Bako Sahakyan, appointed Director of the State Emergency Service of the Republic of Artsakh.
Even in illegal captivity, Levon Mnatsakanyan remains a powerful symbol of Artsakh’s unbroken struggle for freedom and self-determination.

You cannot sever a nation from its mountain; you only betray its spirit. Ararat is eternal - no government decree can change that.
During the dismantling of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building of the Republic of Artsakh, the Azerbaijani occupation administration in Stepanakert destroyed a mural on the interior wall created by the talented painter and sculptor Arnold Meliksetyan.
