Passing hyperbolic gun laws that target Minnesota’s ~1.5 million law-abiding gun owners is not how you solve gun violence.
Telling our beautiful Annunciation Church families that they are suffering because Lisa Demuth didn’t sufficiently target Minnesota’s ~1.5 million law-abiding gun owners will not solve gun violence.
Insinuating that Minnesota’s ~1.5 million law-abiding gun owners are to blame for murdering children inside of a church is not how you solve gun violence.
However, if you want your Minnesota neighbors to hate each other, if you want to manipulate your Minnesota neighbors’ emotions so they feel like perpetual victims, if you want to position yourself as the savior of those victims for political gain, and if you want to stop all chances at effective collaboration to prevent gun violence, then I highly recommend you immediately begin a campaign that aims to pass hyperbolic gun laws, tell the families of Annunciation Church as often as possible that Lisa Demuth is the cause of their pain and suffering, then publicly convict any opposition to these efforts as slaughterers of children.
I’m sure you will make the right choice - you always do.
It’s not just about gun violence prevention. It’s about character. @LisaDemuthMN lied to this family in their living room. Then she bragged about it on the campaign trail.
@RSSTP@FrederickMelo Or maybe finish the construction work happening on the streets downtown first. Two years running… every street has a closure of some kind. I’m convinced the contractor is just f***ing with the Council at this point.
Great thanks to @RepMMM & @HouseCommerce for expanding whistleblower protection nationwide!
Frontline federal and state workers who raise fraud concerns should NOT face retaliation, as they have been subjected to under @GovTimWalz & @peggyflanagan in MN!

Monday: “using the justice system as a weapon for political gain is a disgusting tactic employed by the tyrant Donald Trump”
Wednesday: “as a way to appeal to my pro gun-reform constituents, I’ve just sued the Austrian-based gun maker, Glock.”
Friday: “as a way to appeal to my black female constituents, I’ve just sued L’Oreal for selling them bad products”
This man is an absolute cartoon.
You are correct. My comment was meant to point out the biased coverage by the Strib, along with its consistent subliminal messaging that anyone who forms an opinion about the MN community should feel total shame if that opinion isn’t one they approve of. That tone you’re sensing? It isn’t anger - It’s a deep disapproval of the media outlet. Do you farm in Greater Minnesota? Any stories I should look out for?
@mmpadellan Do we know where the brother is? I’m not saying I believe one thing over the other… but do we know, though? Is he here? Can someone talk to him quick? I feel like that would help a ton.
What the article fails to mention is that the plan includes first a $250,000 temporary tent, then a brand-new $5 million “indoor village” with just 100 beds, and an approved $5.8 million annual operating budget - seemingly in perpetuity.
As a quick comparison - 100 one-bedroom apartments at the St. Paul city-wide average of $1,140/month would set the City back just $1,368,000 per year. But… that plan doesn’t sound anywhere near as cool as an indoor village does.
Why would it ever be unacceptable, in any scenario, to question a political candidate about their loyalties? When is that ever a real thing in a public election? People who decide to run for public office are attempting to represent the public. The public tends to ask the candidate questions about their values and experiences as part of the campaigning process. It helps the public make a decision about what they might expect the candidate to do in the future.
