Let’s be clear about two things:

2.But Cambodia wasn’t the first to fire. Thai forces reportedly initiated the shooting—reigniting an old border dispute over land that international courts have already ruled belongs to Cambodia.

Please, no more bloodshed. No more nationalism over lives.

After Cambodia yesterday accused Thailand of using cluster munitions against civilian areas during the ongoing cross-border clashes, the Royal Thai Army has now confirmed its use of cluster munitions during the conflict, but stressed that they are solely for military targets and that they are not expected to result in long-term impacts on civilians in Cambodia. They further add that Thailand is not a signatory of the Convention on Cluster Munitions (CCM).
