Today, @DNY_ADAPT & Caring Majority blew the whistle on PPL's wage theft, and it made @fox5ny!
@NinaBako: "It is a nightmare for all of us involved. It's not just Excel sheets – it's real lives."
⌛️Albany must pass legislation to stop the PPL monopoly & save home care in NY⌛️
BREAKING: @HealthNYGov Health Commissioner IGNORES people w disabilities fighting for their lives!
TAKE ACTION: We must end the PPL contract before it ends us! Call your State Legislators to say they MUST intervene. Link below.
Imagine @PartnerwithPPL calling disabled people ‘fraudsters’ while cutting life-saving services. That’s not policy — that’s ableism dressed in a budget memo. #StopTheCuts#CripResistance
Once the epicenter of the disability rights movement, New York is now a cautionary tale. Bureaucratic violence, budget cuts, and outright contempt for our lives. This isn’t just policy—it’s a war on our survival. #StopPPL#SaveCDPAP
They call it ‘streamlining’ — we call it a death sentence. Replacing our care infrastructure with corporate control is not reform. It’s systemic abandonment. #WeWillNotBeSilent#PPL#SaveCDPAP
When a state decides that disabled people are too expensive to keep alive, that’s not budget management—it’s systemic abandonment. We won’t be erased without a fight. #CripRebellion#DisabledSurvivors
The same country that birthed ADAPT is now trying to bury us under bureaucracy. From over 600 FIs to ONE corporate handler? Nah. We didn’t survive this long to hand over our lives to a spreadsheet. #SaveCDPA#PPL
This isn’t about ‘fixing’ the system — it’s about clearing us out of it. Disabled people are not disposable, and our survival will never be up for negotiation. #CutTheAbleismNotTheCare#SaveCDPAP
This isn’t about ‘waste.’ It’s about power. Taking away local control of our care and handing it to a giant out-of-state company, @PartnerwithPPL is a violent choice. We need justice, not profit margins. #HandsOffCDPAP#CripPower
BREAKING: We’re blowing the whistle w/ @DNY_ADAPT at @PartnerwithPPL’s midtown office to demand accountability for their CATASTROPHIC management of CDPAP.
Albany must pass legislation to #SaveCDPAP, stop the PPL monopoly, & keep NY’s home care system from collapse! #PPLDoesntPay
NOW: We are @GovKathyHochul’s office to demand ANSWERS from PPL for not paying 100,000s of CDPAP workers last week.
**70%** of workers didn’t get their first paycheck.
Next pay day is Thursday. What’s the plan?
BREAKING! PPL Fails Its First Test: Most CDPAP Workers Went Unpaid on Pay Day
We're amidst a true crisis. 100,000s of low-income home care workers didn’t get paid last week. CDPAP workers live paycheck to paycheck – which means 100,000s of families can’t cover groceries, bills, car payments this week.
“I wasn’t paid by PPL this week. I don’t know if I’m going to be paid by PPL,” Murphy said.
Another 30-year recipient in the program told The Post two of his three aides weren’t paid for their correct hours last week.

Unreturned phone calls. Long waits for help. Missing service authorizations. These are just a few of the issues plaguing the costly transition to @PartnerwithPPL for NY home care. Money well spent? #NoToPPL
