Iceland and Ireland are linked in unexpected ways. For example, the geological process that shaped Northern Ireland are the same as those we find in Iceland today--so maybe Iceland will one day look like the Antrim Cost (in about 65 million years or so).
Do you know...there are 40,000 basalt columns at the Giant's Causeway in Ireland?? Each shaped by nature into a polygon with anywhere from 3 to 9 sides!
