ADHDers! If you struggle with task initiation, I'd like to introduce you to the acronym "RAN." It stands for:
R: Rewards
A: Accountability
N: Novelty
Let's break down what each of these mean, and how to apply them to the tasks you're avoiding. 🧵✨
@jessejanderson The major pro of video I've seen for podcasting is that you have "extra" content for social media (i.e. You can upload the video YouTube/Twitter/Facebook/etc... instead of just the audio to a podcast site)
I think there's an assumption that people have to "be pushed" to get outside their comfort zone, with so often in my life the opposite was true:
If people stopped pushing, I could figure out where my boundaries were and where I could push myself.
@TekCharlie I prefer doing it from instagram because it'll also let you "highlight" a group of stories into a category on your profile that'll start longer than 24 hours.
A lot of autistic people tell me they’re vulnerable to others’ poor intentions and often get misled. That’s valid and understandable, however I’m the complete opposite: trauma has left me deeply suspicious, and with my attention to detail, I smell BS a mile off. Do you relate?
