I urge young Serbs to read beyond Serbian nationalist literature: foreign sources, serious historians, and historical documents that can help them understand the history of Dardania and Illyria.

Turkish historian Müfid Yüksel has also emphasized this perspective: Albanians are an indigenous people of the Balkans, neither Greek nor Slavic. He highlights their presence in these territories, their resistance to Slavic expansion, and the later incorporation of Albanian-inhabited areas such as Presheva Nish and Vranje into Serbia.

History does not change by repeating propaganda. Read beyond it, compare sources, and learn the truth.

Le të flasim pak se nga vijnë shqiptarët. Shqiptarët nuk shfaqen realisht në historinë e shkruar deri rreth shekullit të 11-të. Por, nga kemi ardhur në të vërtetë dhe ku ishim para asaj kohe?

Një studim masiv dhe i sapopublikuar, i rishikuar nga shkencëtarët (peer-reviewed), i 6,000 gjenomeve të lashta bashkë me 74 shqiptarë të sotëm, i përgjigjet kësaj pyetjeje. Dhe unë e lexova raportin që ju mos të lodheni. Ky studim është i pari që gjurmon gjenetikisht prejardhjen e shqiptarëve që nga Epoka e Bronzit e deri më sot.

Ja disa nga gjetjet kryesore të studimit:
Nga viti 800 deri në 900 të erës sonë, paraardhësit e shqiptarëve kishin tashmë profilin gjenetik të shqiptarëve të sotëm. 80% deri në 90% e ADN-së sonë gjurmohet te ajo popullatë specifike. Ajo popullatë e ka origjinën në masë dërrmuese nga njerëzit e Epokës së Bronzit dhe të Hekurit në Ballkanin Perëndimor, ku përfshihej edhe një grup i quajtur Ilirët.

Tani, kjo pjesë është thelbësore. Ndërkohë që migrimet sllave po transformonin ADN-në e Kroacisë, Serbisë dhe Malit të Zi (me rreth 60% deri në 85% prejardhje nga Evropa Lindore), paraardhësit e shqiptarëve mbetën kryesisht të paprekur. Kjo ndodhi sepse ne ishim të izoluar gjenetikisht në një zonë strehimi, një zonë të mbrojtur. Historikisht dihet që kur erdhën fiset sllave, i shtynë proto-shqiptarët më shumë drejt zonave malore.

Tani le të flasim për atdheun origjinal. Gjenetika na drejton tek një djep shumë specifik: Shqipëria, Kosova dhe pjesë të Maqedonisë së Veriut. Popullatat e Kosovës dhe ato veriore, popullatat e Gegëve, tregojnë lidhjen gjenetike më të fortë me ata paraardhës mesjetarë. Ky është rajoni ku grupet ilire dhe dardane mbivendoseshin në antikitet.

Është e vërtetë që disa shqiptarë mbartin pak prejardhje nga Evropa Lindore ose sllave, por vetëm rreth 10% deri në 20%. Pjesa tjetër e Evropës ka rreth tre deri në katër herë më shumë se kaq. Por kjo përzierje ndodhi rreth shekujve të 13-të dhe 15-të, kryesisht pasi shqiptarët ishin formuar tashmë si një popullatë gjenetike e veçantë.

Për t'ju dhënë një provë personale që përputhet me hulumtimin: kjo është ADN-ja ime nga Ancestry, dhe siç e shihni, jam 100% nga Ballkani Jugperëndimor. Asgjë tjetër. Nuk jam i përzier fare. Dhe nëse shikoni ngjyrën e gjelbër të errët, e cila tregon përqindjen e tokës sime stërgjyshore, do të shihni se Kosova përbën pjesën më të madhe, bashkë me Shqipërinë veriore. Pra, paraardhësit e mi ishin në Shqipërinë e Veriut ashtu si edhe në Kosovë.

Në përfundim, shqiptarët e sotëm nuk janë të ardhur rishtazi në Ballkan. Popullata proto-shqiptare u formua afërsisht rreth viteve 200 deri në 800 të erës sonë, nga një grup i vogël themelues prej 8,000 deri në 11,000 njerëz. Dhe ne mund ta gjurmojmë prejardhjen tonë direkt tek ata.

Kjo është arsyeja pse Kosova nuk është Serbi. 🇦🇱❤️🇦🇱

If this happened to Manchester United, Liverpool or Arsenal, everyone would be talking about it for weeks. But because it’s Manchester City on the other side, people seem scared to really question it properly.
