1/ Covid (@UCSF) Chronicles, Day 199
OK, now this is now officially mind-blowing. Of course, today’s thread will be all about the President’s illness, what might come next, and what it means.
Many Googlers will tell you that the thing they love most about work is the PEOPLE. So we were worried about how employees would feel about WFH. It has been an extraordinarily hard year for everyone, but we’re seeing some silver linings:
@bgalbs I have been weirdly obsessed with tracking the whereabouts of the family of skunks that visits our backyard regularly. The Dyson air purifier I have has a air quality sensor and before the fires and smoke it would show a spike at night whenever the skunks visited.

@antoniogm To make matters "interesting" there also have been reports of gunshots in the North East Foothills of San Jose for a while now, including someone shooting at cows on a ranch up in the hills (IIRC).
@antoniogm It's been a long running issue in San Jose to the point where the City has an app that lets you snitch on people setting off illegal fireworks.
1/ Looks like a piece of Google Cloud history found its way to @donttrythis of Myth Busters fame. The video does a great job showcasing it, except Adam should have turned off the lights in the cave ;-) But let me add a few bits about its history.
