GTA is the Avatar of video games. Lowest common denominator stuff. Nobody's ever praised the quality of GTA's vehicle controls, or the combat, or the story, or the movement mechanics, it's just the game that has all of those things and does it well enough in a big world.
@yngmisu I wanted epic to be a good competitor but I've lost hope. Not having user reviews means you're on publishers side and not the consumer's side. The 25% cut tim brags about also only goes into the publishers pockets and not the developers.
@asa_mitaka_jjr I've seen so much reze fan art after the movie but i forgot reze even existed until the movie came out. Asa is going hit anime watching girls like crack in the 80s
Linus Torvalds says the Linux kernel security mailing list is now almost impossible to manage due to a large number of bug reports from AI tools.
In his latest update for Linux 7.1-rc4, he explained that the continued flood of AI reports has made the security list almost entirely unmanageable, with enormous duplication as different people find the same issues using the same tools.
Maintainers spend a lot of time dealing with the same problems repeatedly and often reply that they were already fixed weeks ago.
The security list is for private and important security problems, but AI reports are not secret and create too much extra work.
Linus says AI tools are great but only if they actually help rather than cause unnecessary pain and pointless make-work.
