Latvia 🇱🇻 and the Netherlands 🇳🇱 are strengthening cooperation on security – from reinforcing @NATO’s eastern flank and protecting the eastern border to supporting Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia.

🛡️ On 9 September, Foreign Minister @Braze_Baiba and Dutch Foreign Minister @ministerBZ visited Latvia’s eastern border and discussed further cooperation between the two countries to strengthen security.

Guests had the opportunity to admire a collection of Dutch Golden Age masters.

This year also marks 105 years of diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and Latvia.

🥼Today, we welcomed health care professionals from the Princess Máxima Centre and @bernuslimnica. Together we had discussions on strengthening cooperation between 🇳🇱 and 🇱🇻 in the field of healthcare, especially in the field of paediatric oncology.

Yesterday we went to Bauska and attended the opening ceremony of the board game "Time for Truth - the media literacy quest".
Soon it will be available in youth organizations all over 🇱🇻

Our Ambassador Claudia Pieterse hosted a King’s Day reception in honour of the upcoming 58th birthday of his Majesty the King!
This year, as the Netherlands is hosting the NATO summit in June, we celebrated it in the Latvian Museum of War.
