@TheCanadianGTR I don't really miss the background, nor the messy layout (FH6 isn't much better...), but not having weather and a way to check what's on the radio without having to switch is great.
I'd love to know why that was removed since FH5...
'Stop Killing Games' has failed to secure new EU legislation despite having 1.3 million signatures
The EU says it “cannot propose a legal obligation” requiring publishers to keep games playable after they stop being sold commercially
@realDareGames@TheRedGoner Asymmetrical for games where up-down inputs are more common and symmetrical for games that focus more on left-right inputs.
I see it as the thumb preferring a stretch-contract motion opposed to twisting left-right.
Pick what better suits the games you play.
@GuliKitDesign Looking forward to everything!
I really wanted a symmetrical stick layout on this type of body. Plus, Gulikit is one of the few manufacturers who actually has a proper set of features for who cares about precision, addressing problems I’ve had with other controllers forever.
@__silent_ Sadly, they didn’t. Somehow it’s worse than PCARS2…
No self steering, barebones options and no slip based steering limit. Basically most other current sims offer better gamepad filtering than this.
It’s just raw input with a (potentially) basic speed based limit.
@AussieFuckery@Hoki_Hoshi I can't even reach my fastest laps with some cars anymore, and the more I try to drift and be too aggressive with the car, the more time I lose.
While I still prefer Autosport in some aspects, Legends did improve quite a bit. I'm shocked, these games rarely see changes like these
@AussieFuckery@Hoki_Hoshi Well, I'll be damned.
I decided to reinstall the game and give it another shot, and yeah... This is not the same game I played 2-3 years ago, even the laptimes say it.
The cars now have this plow understeer when you force them around turns, drifts is slower, etc. 1/2
@BlackPanthaaYT PCARS 2 could be okay with some settings changed, but it wasn't good for stick tapping.
PCARS 3 implemented a pretty strong filtering system but sadly no options to tune it, so you either love it or you hate it.
It's a shame that everyone's ignoring that AC1 mod...
@BungleDungle_YT For example, GTA 5 (it's arcady but the cars are super sensitive) can be played both ways too.
But then you have games like NFS Heat that slow down the steering to a halt to compensate for stick tapping.
I just want options so everyone can play the games they love. 3/3
@BungleDungle_YT A lot of people tap steer, and that's fine, but the problem happens where there aren't settings that allow for both.
For example, AGA for AC1 can be tuned for smooth steering AND tap steering. 2/3
@beeeemooooo FFB is used to catch slides and feel the limit, is FFB a cheat too?
A lot of people also tune the FFB in their games to get just the details they want, going against the "realism" argument.
Also, you're not in a car, FFB needs to be unrealistic so you can get the right info.
@__silent_ Is the steering limit slip based?
Most games that do a speed based steering limit fail for several reasons like a bad speed to limit relation curve, the limit being a % of the car's total steering not a steering angle target, and so on.
It's hard to explain it all in a tweet...
@beeeemooooo It's all about classism. They spent hundreds+ on equipment to have fun, so must you.
A lot of people hear "assist" and they think the car takes turns by itself, but that's not what we're asking for.
FFB is an assist itself, and a wheel has way more input range than a pad.
@__silent_@RENNSPORT_gg Yeah, it’s not good… Arguably worse than it was before the launch.
I had some hopes for Rennsport, the handling can be fun and the controller support is okay when you tweak it, but it’s way overpriced for what it has and how rough it is.
@EbrahimGT7@_SuperGT Yeah, that chronic understeer seems to still be there...
Hopefully it feels better than it looks, I'd really like to see that super on-rails behavior gone.
@FH3YT All I see is raw input with a speed based steering limit which usually fails when cars have different steering locks.
No self steering forces to simulate FFB to help you catch those really small slides, something found in AMS2, ACC/ACE, LMU/rF2, Raceroom and Rennsport.
