It was special when Nyck recently won in Monte Carlo & we heard our national anthem play in that Mecca of motorsport.

But for me, it was EXTRA special to have him win today, with the anthem echoing in front of that massive crowd.

When I started my journey in the auto industry decades ago, Japan and Japanese cars were the gold standard. I spent countless hours studying them and learning from their excellence.

Yes, they are still the benchmark. & we still have miles to go.

But I can’t deny the quiet thrill of seeing Japanese automotive fans applaud an Indian brand standing at the top of the podium in electric car racing.

Thank you, Nyck, Fred, & Team @MahindraRacing, for giving India & all of us this unforgettable moment.

Before you rush to criticise @Wangchuk66, first pause to earn the ethos of fasting for 26 days for a cause larger than yourself.
He lies in the ICU today, having lost 11 kg, including muscle mass, because he chose sacrifice over comfort. The least we can offer him is a day of compassion before burdening him with our own expectations and political calculations.
Not everyone is qualified to judge a life of selfless service. One must first earn the moral stature to do so.
