बस ड्राइवर गुरमुख सिंह की 12 पसलियां टूटी है, कंधे और नाक की हड्डी में फ्रेक्चर है, आँख के ऊपर और होंठ पर गहरा घाव है, शरीर कई जगह से ज़ख़्मी है। गुरमुख अब दस महीने तक काम नहीं कर सकेगा।
वह दो दिन पहले हिमालयन जॉलीग्रांट से छात्राओं और शिक्षकों को छोड़ने हरिद्वार जा रहे थे, थार सवार दो युवकों ने इन्हें परेशान किया और जब इन्होंने समझाने की कोशिश की तो इनके ऊपर थार चढ़ा दी।
और पुलिस ने जिन धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज किया है उनमें उतावलापन, लापरवाही, किसी के जीवन को खतरे में डालना, सार्वजनिक मार्ग पर खतरनाक तरीके से वाहन चलाने जैसे अपराध शामिल है। जबकि वीडियो में साफ़ दिख रहा है कि युवक ने गाड़ी इरादेतन ड्राइवर के ऊपर चढ़ाई है।
थानाध्यक्ष रायवाला, जरा भी शर्म नहीं आई, थोड़ा भी दिल नहीं पसीजा गुरमुख की दशा देखकर ?

केदारनाथ यात्रा के पहले ही दिन जो हुआ वो नहीं होना चाहिए था, गुजरात से आए श्रद्धालु दिलीप भाई माली की हार्ट अटैक से मौत हो गई। बेटा हेमंत माली डीएम रुद्रप्रयाग विशाल मिश्रा से पिता की डेडबॉडी ले जाने के लिए हेली सर्विस की गुहार लगाता रहा, लेकिन डीएम ने DGCA की NOC नहीं होने का हवाला दिया और ख़ुद हेलीकॉप्टर में बैठकर निकल गए।
डीएम रुद्रप्रयाग का ये रवैया बेहद गैरजिम्मेदाराना था और अमानवीय भी। सुबह हेलीपैड पर आई डेडबॉडी को दोपहर 12.30 बजे हेली नसीब हुआ। यदि DGCA की NOC नहीं थी तो डीएम अपनी टीम के साथ हेलीकॉप्टर से कैसे उड़े। क्या सरकार ने अधिकारियों और नागरिकों के लिए अलग अलग नियम बनाए है ?

Owner of Wagh Bakri Tea, a 2000 crores brand with business in 60 countries, died yesterday due to a fall he suffered after a pack of street dogs attacked him.

India has the largest population of street dogs in the world, the highest number of deaths related to street dog incidents, and the highest number of rabies cases. This problem continues to grow.

We urgently need a national program for mass vaccination and sterilization of street dogs; otherwise, the situation will deteriorate. But, it seems unlikely that it'll be taken seriously unless a minister or senior judge falls victim to street dog incidents.
