My first paper is now available online☺️| The role of conscious perception in semantic processing: Testing the action trigger hypothesis https://t.co/7316pliNRX
Thanks to everyone who stopped by my poster at @ASSC2025 It was great chatting with you. Always happy to talk more about unconscious processing and all things awareness, and beyond. Feel free to reach out😄 #assc2025#assc28

Some irrelevant features of a previous target guide attention during search, but others don't. Are they not encoded, or do they not guide attention?
In our new paper (with @NitzM98 & Dominique Lamy), we show that features that didn't guide attention, were...

I just fed my recent paper to #NotebookLM and it auto-generated a 7-minute podcast about it!
It's sometimes inaccurate, misses key points, and can get over-dramatic🤣
Still very impressive!
Check out 2 minutes of the output:
Our UnconTrust database for studies of unconscious processing is now officially launched in an interactive website here: https://t.co/2fwrvYLLRp
And a paper describing the process and the validation is now published in “Scientific Data”: https://t.co/iIzOc2JPuW
Still studying the role of conscious perception in semantic processing. I presented today at #IVSS how unconscious semantic processing might be more extended than previously thought.
New EEG Inattentional Blindness (IB) paper with Michael Pitts, Enriqueta Canseco Gonzalez, @BradleyNJack, & @PammerProf.
We find no evidence of an N400 to, nor above chance decoding of, related/unrelated word pairs when subjects are inattentionally blind to the word pairs. /1
Too many theories! If you are looking to learn more about the science of consciousness, I suggest starting reading about those that are based on empirical evidence.

Science Twitter: the last 19 days were a living hell for our Israeli colleagues. Their loved ones have been brutally murdered in their homes, raped and kidnapped. They spend hours sheltering from bombings. They feel scared, angry, & isolated. This is the time to show our support.
@AlonZivony Thank you for putting into words how many of us feel. One problem is that ppl will agree with you in principle but continue saying offensive comments. You can see this among those who like and repost your comments, but also like and repost the same offensive things we call out.
@AjAqrabawi@ItaiYanai This is not a respectful answer. Is this how you answer questions in conferences? Where did you see hate? Insulting me does nothing but paint you and people like you as bullies.
@AjAqrabawi@ItaiYanai A right wing extremist. Remind me of who assassinated Anwar Sadat, president of Egypt, because of his desire for peace after signing a peace treaty with Israel? What is your point?
@Michael_Gilead How many people in the poll were between 18 and 34 years old? I think a quarter of Americans are in that age category, so if the total sample size was 1000, then 125 out of 250 young people answered that they can justify the Hamas attack
