I really wonder why everyone is dunking on Hyperliquid while there is barely any mention of Binance?

The biggest exchange since 2017, making $15 billion a year, had complete downtime for a tariff news?

I mean, it's not like it was the announcement of a planetary lockdown due to a "deadly" mysterious virus?

While Hyperliquid, a ~3-year-old exchange doing 15% of Binance futures volume did not go offline and solely ADLed users because there was basically no counterparty to take their trade otherwise the platform could go bankrupt. It just had a transparent system that worked perfectly well with zero downtime.

Now people are arguing about Lighter vs. Hyperliquid vs. other DEXs, which I believe is a fundamentally wrong focus. Yes Hyperliquid ADLed (nothing wrong), yes Lighter had downtime, but efforts should not be on creating a war between platforms that are truly advancing this industry but rather on the one that originated this pain.

How could Binance APIs go off like that? Is Binance sharing transparent data on its liquidations? Who benefited from the average -60% drawdown on alts? Are they sharing all the secret deals they have with entities? The no-inverse liquidation accounts (does it remind you of something?)
Did everyone forget FTX and Alameda?
