China’s warning to the United States can be translated as:
You can overthrow Maduro.
You can kidnap him.
You can rewrite Venezuela’s politics.
You cannot rewrite China’s contracts.
China–Venezuela commercial agreements are protected by international law and by the laws of both countries.
Washington is not a party to those contracts.
Regime change does not magically erase Chinese assets, debts, concessions or commercial rights.
And Beijing’s last sentence is the actual warning:
China’s lawful rights and interests in Venezuela must be protected.
In plain English:
Whatever you do to Caracas, keep your fucking hands off China’s property.
Alex has been talking about these children and WAEC poor performance.
These people looked the other way, he decided to pull up their qualifications, they are up in arms.
They did the same thing during Jamb, called him all manner of names.
But the same incompetent Jamb registrar that’s supposed to be in prison in a sane society came out publicly, apologized and shared crocodile tears.
MY VISIT TO PORT HARCOURT
Yesterday, after attending Daily Times at 100th in Abuja, I travelled to Port Harcourt for a rousing reception from our party members, led by our Governorship Candidate in Rivers State, Chief Barr. Dumo Lulu-Briggs. The leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) is to attend the NDC Obi-Talks, a Port Harcourt Town Hall.
The town hall provided an opportunity for an open and engaging conversation with the people. Our questions and answers centered on issues that directly affect the lives of Nigerians, including jobs, healthcare, education, security, and economic opportunity.
I reiterated my commitment to investing in the three critical areas that accelerate the development of every nation: education, healthcare, and pulling our people out of poverty.
We examined the experiences of countries that once faced challenges similar to those confronting Nigeria today, and how competent, purposeful, and compassionate leadership transformed their fortunes.
From Bangladesh and its remarkable progress in rice production, to Indonesia and the growth of its SMEs, and India’s efforts at pulling millions of its citizens out of poverty, the lesson is clear: countries succeed when leadership is competent, accountable, focused, and committed to the welfare of the people.
My greatest elation today came from the renewed commitment I saw among the good people of Rivers State to participate massively in the 2027 elections and, more importantly, to ensure that their votes are counted and the people’s mandate is respected.
Let it be recorded that this time around, the people of Rivers State will vote, and their votes MUST count.
Only leaders who emerge from a free, fair, and credible electoral process can truly be called Excellencies. Rivers State can and should set the pace for excellent, free, fair, and credible elections in 2027.
I sincerely thank our Vice Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Senator Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; our host and Governorship Candidate in Rivers State, Chief Barr. Dumo Lulu-Briggs; his team; the Rivers State Working Committee of the NDC; the National Working Committee led by our National Chairman, Senator Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe; and all our friends, supporters, and well-wishers who joined us for this important engagement.
Our task is to rescue Nigeria, rebuild our institutions, and restore hope to our people.
A New Nigeria is Possible, and Nigeria will be OK. -PO
I think you may be confusing the existence of a CDR (whatever MTN chooses to call the 103 pages spreadsheet) does it contain sufficient underlying usage information to account for the alleged consumption and does it mean the end of the inquiry most importantly considering the fact that the spreadsheet doesn’t even contain things that ultimately qualify it as a well detailed CDR🤷♀️
MTN providing that document does not automatically establish that every figure reflected in it is accurate, complete, properly interpreted, or sufficient to explain the data depletion complained of. The spreadsheet is evidence to be examined, not a magic document that extinguishes every legitimate question.
I have never claimed that MTN has “depleted everyone’s data” neither have I already established liability. My position is simple: where a consumer disputes the accuracy or transparency of a service record, the provider should be able to account for the figures being presented and the basis upon which they were generated.
I am a lawyer. I understand the difference between making an allegation, gathering evidence, conducting an investigation and proving a case.
So, no, I am not taking an imaginary “L” because someone on the internet has declared that I have lost a matter that has not even been adjudicated and most especially when I am well within my consumer’s rights.
If the evidence ultimately establishes that I am wrong, I will have the intellectual honesty to say so however if the evidence raises further questions, I will equally have the courage to pursue those questions through the appropriate channels.
Whether I can “finish” it is not for you to determine. That decision belongs to me, the evidence, and ultimately the appropriate forum not Twitter.
And frankly, if the matter is as “futile” as you suggest, you should have no reason to be this worried about me pursuing it🙂
Five months ago, gst started investigating and calling out NAFDAC for failing to regulate harmful substances. We were doxxed, threatened, and eventually “invited” to a conference.
Then, instead of doing its job, NAFDAC launched a “campaign” telling consumers to protect themselves from the very products it is supposed to regulate.
They failed to regulate. We called them out. And their response was to shift the burden back onto Nigerians.
Nigerian football is already in shambles
And rather than fixing it, guess what the govt is doing?
Arguably the biggest football in Lagos, the derby between Sporting Lagos vs. Ikorodu City that is supposed to be this Sunday, September 6, at the Onikan stadium has been postponed indefinitely.
Just guess the reason?
It was postponed for an APC rally at Onikan Stadium.
An official NPFL football match fixed, where people have travelled from far and wide to watch, bought tickets, and prepared for, but a misplaced and mis-planned political rally is more important?
@jidesanwoolu you should be extremely ashamed.
The Super Eagles missed their second consecutive World Cup this year, after missing Qatar 2022.
Super Falcons for the FIRST time in history, failed to qualify for the 2027 Women's World Cup.
The Golden Eaglets U-17 did not qualify for the 2026 U-17 AFCON and the 2026 U-17 World Cup
The Flying Eagles U-20 missed the 2027 U-20 AFCON and the 2027 U-20 World Cup.
The U-23 Eagles did not qualify for the 2023 U-23 AFCON and the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Senior football is failing.
Women's football is failing.
Youth football is failing.
All under the APC govt
But guess what you are doing rather than restoring our football?
A POLITICAL RALLY
@jidesanwoolu you should be paying for tickets for everyone in that rally to go attend that football match on Sunday not cancelling a professional league because of a rally.
You all should be ashamed of yourselves.
A big shame.

After listening to the current HNO of WAEC this evening, I am deeply concerned about his incompetence, arrogance and apparent lack of empathy. I do not believe someone with this attitude should head such an important academic institution.
Babcock University High School reportedly told him that out of 199 students who sat this year’s WAEC, only 22 passed both English and Mathematics, something they say has never happened in 25 years.
Instead of treating such an extraordinary outcome as something worth investigating, he allegedly laughed it off, dismissed faith-based schools and suggested that perhaps they had been committing examination malpractice in previous years.
The court will resolve this soon.
Treasure Okegbola developed a machine learning model that detects malaria from blood samples.
We ran a live test today, and it was amazing.
She will be training it on other diseases so that people can run quality and free tests in their homes. It can then detect even diseases people may not be aware of.
She says this will be her way of supporting poor families who can’t afford quality healthcare or are afraid to do tests because of cost.
I have always known that Treasure will make a great impact in the world.
What a start!
If you’re in my position, run to court without closing all the loopholes 🙏. I’m not working at your pace🤝

WE NEED YOUR EXPERTISE PRO BONO FOR THE GREATER GOOD OF ALL.
We need the services of the professionals listed PRO BONO irrespective of the telecom provider you use and your location, because I genuinely do not want this movement to become a fundraising exercise.
