In recent news, #Rutgers has issued an ultimatum for their nursing students who are working in hospitals during the pandemic: quit your jobs or fail your classes. Their dean has said unprecedented times do not call for unprecedented accommodations. https://t.co/71EpTy7fdD
All As would be phenomenal. Wish @BrownUniversity would recognize that Universal Pass in a global pandemic is the LEAST they could do. #BruNoFail@NoFailNation
whole idea of video conferences to begin with strikes me as an attempt to control students in ways that are going to be counter-productive, especially over the long run.
related: our summer classes did have scheduled meeting times; surely people will not be sticking to those now?
COVID-19 has caused campus shutdowns all over the country. If you are a student that has been affected, go to https://t.co/wi368NUC1b and we will work with you to find resources.

@_surbhib Fixed a Mac like this recently, it was due to bad sectors. Try holding (Command + S) immediately after booting and then running the command: /sbin/fsck -fy
If it spits out errors DM me
@NinaWolffLandau@BrownUniversity Thank you! Stay vocal, don’t let your voices be ignored. Our colleges and universities must remember that students and alumni are the backbone of their prosperity as well as their future professors and administrators.
In a global pandemic @BrownUniversity wants students to “showcase their resilience in the face of adversity” by working for letter grades or force marginalized students to go pass/fail. How about allowing students to focus on surviving? #UniversalPass#BruNOFail@NoFailNation
Taking pride in academic achievement is a big part of what drives societal advancement, but the the evaluation of merit is now more skewed in favor of the privileged than ever before. Right now, to award or accept recognition is to discredit those who aren’t afforded that luxury.
@eric___jk #UniversalPass is a given when one extends their consideration to include the many, not just the few. The deliberate alignment of policy with the desires of the privileged is the crux of systematic oppression. Thank you for your activism, wishing you guys the best of luck!
This is a must-read for everyone in higher education. #UniversalPass should have been a starting point, not an end goal. #NoFailNation
