As I️ continue to peel back the onion on Covid, I️’m spending a couple weeks in Tokyo working with a well known UK research scientist @KevinMcCairnPhD (just looked you up on LinkedIn and I️ see *two* postdocs) who has partnered with a Tokyo hospital where they have developed together a protocol which is at the moment unlike what anyone else is doing in the world right now.

There are two targeted treatments I️’m doing while here which you can’t get anywhere else, and one of them is called SGF (Stem Cell Growth Factor).

In a nutshell, stem cell therapies have been around for 50ish years but only in the last ten years have scientists begun to realize that the benefit of stem cell therapies is not the stem cells themselves but the “secretomes”. If the stem cell is a smartphone, the secretome is the Bluetooth signal it emits. The signal isn't a physical piece of the phone's hardware, but it is the invisible output that communicates with everything around it.

SGF thereby is a stem cell therapy “without any stem cells” using only secretomes that gives the body massive signal to heal and repair. And when you give your entire body this signal it improves collagen synthesis, mitochondrial function, grows back hair (highly needed here), and reduces wrinkles. More importantly, though, and why I made the effort to be here, for those with Covid side effects it improves micro-circulation, nervous system recovery, reduces oxidative stress, and repairs tissue affected by chronic immune activation better than anything else out there right now.

Japan is on the forefront of regenerative medicine, and moves faster than the U.S. does in this domain with a much more advanced regulatory framework than we have. It’s unfortunate SGF isn’t more accessible anywhere, of course, but thankful to be here.

Last night I had the incredible opportunity to meet over Zoom with Dr. Kevin McCairn, PhD, the scientist behind the treatment protocol I’ll soon be traveling to Japan to receive.

During our call, he analyzed my blood samples in real time under fluorescence microscopy. The bright green structures shown in these images are what he identified as persistent amyloid fibrin microclots. Based on his assessment, I continue to have a high microclot burden, which he believes is contributing to the debilitating symptoms I’ve been living with.

Seeing my own blood on the screen was surreal. After nearly five years of living with Long COVID, it was both validating and emotional to hear that there is still an identifiable target for treatment.

These findings reinforce why I’m making this journey to Japan.
