To all of Husky Nation, past players, and current players. My humble thoughts on today:

1.) Kalen made a poor professional decision
-But it’s Bama, right? Not so fast. This isn’t old Bama. Recruiting has changed with NIL and Portal. Bama and UW NIL are very similar.
-You lose more than 1 game a year, that’s unacceptable.
-Saban has his office there. You are nowhere near completely in charge, like you were at UW.
-Stay at UW, recruit top 20 classes, build out NIL even more, and become a Legend. And make close to 10 MM a year while doing so.

2.) Players were caught completely by surprise. Most players believed he was staying. The team deserves our support! It’s always been about the players (EXCEPT FOR TODAY)

3.) UW has the resources to go after an incredible head coach. NIL and donors are top notch. And I 💯 have full faith in @UWHuskies_AD. Let the process play out and trust.

4.) This is an opportunity. Losing Kalen is not cataclysmic. He used most of Coach Pete’s guys to kill it. We have an opportunity to hire a DAWG who loves recruiting! Today is the day you’re a real Husky. Your team just lost the National Championship and your up and coming head coach just jilted you for Bama.

The night is ALWAYS darkest just before the dawn, and on the darkest of days on Montlake, this is where you lean into your pride, faith, and belief in UW THE PROGRAM!

Kalen, we wish you well!
But when we nab our next coach, and recruit like crazy, and build something amazing here, we’re gonna kick your ass in the CFP.
