She's fully vaxxed and still getting Covid but telling you to get your booster, vote Democrat, trans the kids and rid the world of daddy/daughter dances. See the problem?
Three years into my ministry as pastor, I gave a message titled, “A Theology of Song and Praise.” At the end, I addressed why I could not condone music from those three sources.
It was probably the most controversial message I ever gave, but I have no regrets over it.
A few years ago, I proposed to my fellow elders at Grace Fellowship Church that we stop singing songs by Hillsong. After some clarifying discussion, we agreed that we would not. The same reasoning applies to Elevation and Bethel. Here's an explanation. https://t.co/b06bylCKy5
Strongly disagree with this. Actually, the deliberate subversion of explicitly Christian art does matter. And you can’t really play the “this topic isn’t important enough to worry about” card while simultaneously publishing a lengthy piece about it. It was obviously important enough for you to sit down and write an article. So we agree that it warrants commentary. The question, then, is whether the subversion of Christian art is good or bad. And I can’t for the life of me understand how any conservative could come to any other conclusion than “it’s bad.” If there is any rational defense of the contrary position, this piece doesn’t even attempt to present it. All it does is repeatedly insist that the Lion character who symbolically represents Jesus is not literally Jesus Himself. Which is an argument refuting a point that nobody has made. The point that we are making — that the deliberate subversion of Christian art is self-evidently bad — is not addressed at all, except with various dismissive cliches about “clutching pearls.” A charge that, given the hostile and condescending tone of the article, could be thrown right back at the author.
First of all, The Chronicles of Narnia are not a “fairy tale,” they are an allegory.
Which means, yes, Aslan is supposed to be Christ. And making major changes to the story and the characters is meant to undermine the Christian message of the story.
It’s not that difficult.
Just so I'm clear, the strategy for "winning" is:
1. Continue importing foreign demographics that vote Democrat by a 2-1 margin
2. Expect Republicans to kowtow to interests of new foreign group
3. Throw a fit when Americans grow weary of the arrangement
Actually saved that post for use on the Dividing Line. So...which of those options are you finally going to say is your own? You know, so we can hold you to the standards you use in your attacks on Calvinism? Please answer directly. Which view is yours?
And I did not "accuse" you of Open Theism. You used the term "open" and, since you refuse to take a stand (to this point), I have said there is no reason for you to NOT go that direction. You refuse to identify your church membership, confession, or denomination. So...you bring the problem on yourself. Take a stand man!
Robbing those deaths of meaning for the sake of your self-proclaimed autonomy is truly tragic. I am just going to keep posting this until you finally join Nebuchadnezzar in having your reason return to you:
But at the end of those days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes toward heaven, and my knowledge returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever;
For His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
And His kingdom endures from generation to generation.
And all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing,
But He does according to His will in the host of heaven
And among the inhabitants of earth;
And no one can strike against His hand
Or say to Him, ‘What have You done?’”
(Dan. 4:34-35)
Just saw this. And once again...we just...listen to Scripture. Well, some do.
“For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose predestined to occur.”
(Acts 4:27-28)
The early church understood what Dinesh D'Souza denies: that in the single greatest crime in history, the ONLY time when a truly innocent man was murdered, not only were those who murdered him responsible, but...they acted in perfect concert with God's predestined purpose. We had already seen how God's sovereign decree and man's responsibility are compatible in Genesis 50 with Joseph and his brothers, and in Isaiah 10 with the punishment of Israel by Assyria. But here, in the greatest redemptive event of all, God's sovereign predestining decree, and the guilty men, together. In harmony.
Lindsay Clancy is guilty of murder and should be executed. And what she did was part of the sovereign decree of God. It is possible Dinesh does not believe in a God big enough for both of those things to be true, but everyone who prayers with the early church in Acts 4 does.
@DineshDSouza God decreed in his infinite wisdom and authority for my son to struggle through this for God’s glory and our good.
I would rather believe in that than the alternative. That God didn’t choose and has no plan.
@DineshDSouza 2 1/2 years ago my wife and I received the diagnosis that our unborn son has a deformed heart and would need operations to live
Now after 2 years of being in and out of the hospital he is ineligible for further operations and we will out live him
We Praise God! He is in control
@DineshDSouza My wife and I consider it all joy (James 1:2-5) for the trials, we rejoice in our suffering and pray it ultimately brings hope (Romans 5:1-5), and we know it works for our ultimate good according to his purpose(Romans 8:28).
DESANTIS: “If we had Flock cameras around the country when COVID happened, you absolutely would have saw those turned on people who were outside of lockdown orders … Oh, you didn't take your vax? You can't go here.”
🚨 JUST IN: Gov. Ron DeSantis' FDOT is hereby TAKING DOWN Flock cameras statewide over privacy concerns in state rights-of-way
All existing permits for automated license plate readers, even installed by local law enforcement, in state highway rights-of-way — are REVOKED
FDOT is also “ceasing the issuance of all future requests for LPR systems within its jurisdictional authority"
DESANTIS A FEW DAYS AGO: "What the HELL is going on with this?!”
“I don't want to have this become a surveillance state.”
“I see a police officer using this to track his ex-girlfriend?”
“I'm all about having law enforcement have tools to be able to hold criminals accountable.”
“I think that's important that we do that. And no one's been stronger on law enforcement than me.”
“I think this has happened very quickly. I think people are right to be concerned.”
“I wanted an AI bill of rights that could have addressed this and others, other issues.“
“It needs to be overhauled for SURE.”
“These cameras, the license plate readers, I think it's out of control.”
