This is wild. I have begged @Uber for 2 weeks to fix the information on my background check (which will never finish) because they have the wrong zip code and the wrong GEO, resulting in @checkr trying to get criminal history from Jacksonville, SC, which does not exist. I decided to go to @lyft to see if they are better. I was able to upload my new driver's license and might be able to drive by tomorrow.
So crazy.
@Uber_Support Update: I got the same exact copy/paste answers I previously got and support did not even want to talk about reimbursement for the car rental.
So, @Uber decided that it was time for a background check on me over a week ago. The problem is, I went through the app and rented a car, then the app would not let me go online, notifying me of the background check only after I rented a car.
It has been 10 days and it still is not finished. I had to keep that car the whole week, because you rent by the week for Uber and you still get charged the full amount even if you return it early. So, I am out $430 I could have used.
@Uber help is no help at all. They are all foreigners (India) and just pass your chat back and forth and respond with the same cut and paste answers. I asked for escalation 3 times and was told no.
With no one to talk to and only the India based chat, there appears to be no recourse.
Personally, I think @Uber should fix their policies so that if they are not going to let you go online, you will not be able to rent a car. I really think Uber should refund me the money I spent on their rental, since it looks like this is their fault.
What do you all think?
So, a weird one. I picked up 2 guys near the beach. The screen in the Mustang EV is pretty cool, it is huge. Well, one of the guys unbuckles his seatbelt and leans forward between the seats and tries to mess with the screen. Firmly, I tell him to leave it alone and sit back in the seat. He then proceeds to vigorously punch the seat in this 40k+ car. I had to kick them out, and he proceeded to want to fight me. I laughed at him.

@FPWellman Of course not one asked anyone to apologize for being white. It was expected, and if one refused, they were accused of being racist. Of course you jumped on the bandwagon.
@AHaschi Except he f's his babysitter and offs his wife, then demands sympathy. Or is Jill Biden the greatest brake line pinhole mechanic in the world? You decide.
