Very happy to share our endeavour into the molecular mechanisms underlying the susceptibility of diabetics to respiratory infection. In a nutshell we identified a critical immune-metabolic checkpoint in lung dendritic cells that is driving susceptibility to infection.

I would like to thank our colleagues at the Institute of Physiology at @UZH_ch for their support and a great time and we are very happy to join the scientific community of Southern Switzerland in summer 2025!
It is a great pleasure to announce that @NobsLab will move to the Institute for Research in Biomedicine @BellinzonaIrb, launching the new Microbiome Immune Interactions group. We will continue our quest to investigate how the microbiome impacts immunity in lung diseases.
Outstanding new study from my old colleagues at the @Elinav_Lab revolutionizing host-microbiome-diet analyses using new proteomic approaches. Congrats Rafa @rvaldesmas , Avner @AvnerLeshem , Danping @DanpingZheng and everyone involved for this groundbreaking advance!
It is a great pleasure to announce today the launch of the @NobsLab! Located at the University of Zurich, we will study microbiome-immune interactions and how they regulate diseases of the lung, in particular infection and chronic inflammation.
