The story of young Alexander taming his horse Bucephalus is one of my favorite because it reveals so much about the future king's character and why he'll be called the Great.
“My son, you must seek out a kingdom equal to yourself—Macedonia is not big enough for you!”
Pewter Report is proud to be a FREE SPEECH enterprise with our website, social media channels and podcasts providing a platform for all points of view regarding the Bucs and the NFL. Free speech is important – so important that it’s the principle of the First Amendment of the Constitution.
Agree with him or not, @charliekirk11 was about engaging in dialogue and debate – often with people he disagreed with. He stood for an exchange of ideas – not violence. Yet he was killed for doing just that – debating ideas on college campuses.
It takes broken people to resort to violence rather than dialogue, and evil people turn to murder. Political violence and assassination of ANY KIND is reprehensible. Praying for Charlie’s wife, children, family and friends.
We’re entering an era of the martyr. Martyrs for Christ. Martyrs for country. Martyrs for the truth. Little children slaughtered while praying in Mass. A young father assassinated while debating on a college campus.
I keep coming back to what Chesterton said about courage: courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of a willingness to die.
Those are the stakes now.
These monsters think they’re quieting the good but they’re doing the opposite. They are creating warriors. And they will reap the whirlwind.
Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk
The rich man builds his son a castle but forgets to build the son, the poor man builds his son but has no castle to give. Thirty years later the castle crumbles because there was no man strong enough to hold it while the son with calloused hands builds his own kingdom because his father's empty pockets were full of character. The rich son inherits his father's wealth but the poor son inherits his father's soul, and only one of these things survives death
We are 5 1/2 lbs of trigger pull away from a cataclysmic shift in the balance of national superpowers.
The assassination attempt has made abundantly clear the power vacuum that would exist in American politics outside of President Trump.
This situation is reminiscent of Putin's mysterious absence from public appearance for almost two weeks in 2015, which revealed that despite various opinion of his politics, the sudden absence of President Putin and his consolidation of vast political power would inevitably leave Russia as a whole weakend and vulnerable.
The same concept applies to the American political dynamic.
An adjustment of one inch of that bullets trajectory and within 24 hours the Chinese invade Taiwan (July is ideal for amphibious assault), the Russians annex the Arctic circle from the non-existent Canadian Forces, and civil unrest in the streets of America not only distrupts global commerce for a considerable period of time, but makes the nation (and the Western Hemisphere in it's entirety) now prey to stronger Eastern political aspirations.
President Trump already crossed the Rubicon with his 2020 presidency.
The irreconcilable state of a polarized western society is already complete.
There is nothing left to do but pray to the LORD for peace, and prepare for war.
What rises from the ashes of this conflict is beyond our control, but it is not beyond His.
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV
This checks out. ROE for a domestic political rally probably wouldn’t be “guns free,” so any engagement by counter-snipers would require prior approval from higher.
This increases the likelihood the shooting was a failed set-up:
Higher is who assigns security to different outposts. Higher didn’t secure the most vulnerable building in the area of operation. The shooter was a 20 year old shitlib who had no sophisticated technology or special military training. He was walking around the parking lot outside a Trump rally with a ladder and a rifle. Even a lazy roving guard would’ve stopped the shooter prior to him getting on top of the roof. But no guard was put in place by higher.
When the counter sniper team obtained positive ID of the shooter, higher repeatedly denied them approval to shoot the shooter.
The most logical and plausible conclusion one could draw here is that higher wanted the shooter to shoot first.
Higher = bad actors
