Iraqi men gathered in a smoky cafe in Baghdad, watching Saddam on TV in 2003.
It was my first day in Baghdad, sent to photograph life in Iraq, to follow UN inspectors as they failed each day to find so-called weapons of mass destruction, and to wait for the looming US-led war.
Stoked that my image “Cotopaxi Corazón” will be in a gallery exhibition in Minneapolis this weekend.
It’s an in-camera #doubleexposure shot in the Cotopaxi National Park in Ecuador.
