@jnoronhahostler I really don't think references should ever count towards a page limit, it just forces you to remove references. but looks super interesting, looking forward to reading it
Great job opportunity in a lovely city and great mentors. Huge vibrant neutron star community there so lots of stuff to learn and many possible collaborations, so an ideal post doc !
6 years and 1 month ago I landed in St. Louis for what I believed to be a 1-2 years post doc. Today I am leaving the US for the UK for my Marie Curie fellowship. Sad to be leaving, thanks to all the people who made this an amazing time.
Our new article on the "Effect of Magnetic Fields on Urca Rates in Neutron Star Mergers", led by Pranjal Tambe (my PhD student @IUCAAstro), in collaboration with Prof. Mark Alford and Dr. Alexander Haber @Noldigphysics from @WUSTL, appeared recently on the arxiv

Today the LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA Collaboration is proud to announce GW230529, the first exceptional #GravitationalWaves event from our fourth observing run (#O4). You can learn more from @astronerdika's excellent infographic, or by visiting our detection page! https://t.co/oGH4baLlss
@thomega@Quasilocal I do this in lyx, and especially for really long and hard calculations, because with pen and paper I would define 500 variables and lose track and mess up

@DeboraMroczek took me 3 years after the begin of the pandemic to find a beach volleyball group with fun people in STL. Still looking for indoor, but it's really fun to get back into it. Not sure if I could still do 8 games to my shoulder or back haha, impressive!
