Very interesting new H0 result by Vogl et al. - this uses the Expanding Photosphere Method with Type II supernovae (spoiler alert H0=74.9 +/- 1.9). Happy Birthday to Niels Bohr, born 7 October 1885! We rightly celebrate his 1913 model of the atom which was central to the development of quantum mechanics, but did you know that what we teach today as the "Bohr model" is not actually what Bohr proposed! A short thread.
