Steve awoke with a soft groan as the morning sun shone in through the slightly open curtains. He had fallen asleep on the couch... again.

@TorturedSoldat Steve wrapped his arm around Bucky's waist as they entered the bedroom. It was perfect for the two of them. "Do you mind if we have a minute?" He asked the realtor, who nodded and left the room.

"What do you think, Buck?"

@TorturedSoldat Steve followed closely, looking around at the empty house once they were inside. It definitely needed some work, but they'd be able to make it theirs.

@TorturedSoldat Steve gave the woman a polite smile and shook her hand as well. "Well, come on in and I'll show you the house," she said with a smile. She led them to the front door and held it open for them.

@TorturedSoldat Steve grinned at him as they soon arrived at the house. He parked in the driveway and the realtor came out to meet them. "Mr. Barnes?" She asked, glancing between the two of them.

@TorturedSoldat "I know. It looked perfect for us," Steve grinned. "Plenty of room to grow, the ability to make it ours..." He looked over at him, smiling.

@TorturedSoldat Steve held onto his hand as they left the diner, returning to the truck. Soon, they were heading off for the house showing and Steve couldn't have been happier.

@TorturedSoldat Steve nodded and left more than enough cash on the table before getting up from his seat. They were so close to their new life together, he could hardly wait.

@TorturedSoldat Steve grinned and continued to eat, glad to see him so happy. When he finished, he set his plate aside and checked his watch. "We'll have to head out soon if we're going to make our appointment."

@TorturedSoldat Steve chuckled softly and ate his own. "They've gotten some better quality ingredients, but the recipes are all the same. I asked the first time I came back."

@TorturedSoldat Steve chuckled softly and let go of Bucky's hand to begin eating his own burger. "Go on and try it. I want to know what you think."

@TorturedSoldat Smiling softly, Steve brought Bucky's hand to his lips, kissing it gently. Their food was brought over shortly after.

@TorturedSoldat "Maybe because, one day, we'll get to have what all of our friends did?" He smiled softly, handing him a napkin.

@TorturedSoldat Steve nodded, gently rubbing his thumb across Bucky's knuckles. "I mean, there's still people in the world that are against it, but we're protected now."

@TorturedSoldat Steve nodded, grinning. "Yeah, it's okay. A lot of things have changed since we were kids." He squeezed Bucky's hand gently.

@TorturedSoldat He could tell how anxious Bucky was. "So, pur waitress, Sara?" Steve nodded over towards her. "She finally married her girlfriend last month."

@TorturedSoldat Steve ordered the same, keeping hold of Bucky's hand. If everything went well with this house showing, they'd be on their way to a new life.
