Someone by the name of VectorPerkins posted a model of the battery covers on https://t.co/3jC0VSNXmw. I downloaded, sliced, and printed this thing in about an hour.

Now my daughter is happy and playing Mario cart.

When I came home from work tonight my daughter told me she needs to find the battery cover for her Wii controller, as her rechargeable battery stopped charging.
We got rid of them a few years ago when we bought rechargeable batteries.
Fortunately, 3d printing is a thing.
