We act as though life is happening to us.
As though we’re passengers. Watching existence unfold from behind our eyes. But right now your heart is beating. Your lungs are breathing. Your cells are rebuilding. Your body is exchanging itself with the world. Air becoming blood. Water becoming flesh. Sunlight becoming thought. You’re not watching life happen. Life is happening as you.
Maybe we’ve been standing on the inside of the miracle for so long that we’ve stopped noticing it.
