This evening, Rwanda received an award from @WorldBankGroup recognizing its strong performance on the newly launched Human Capital Index+ (HCI+), after emerging as a top performer relative to its income level. The award was presented by @MamtaMurthi , Vice President for People at the World Bank. The HCI+ uses data on health, education, and employment outcomes to assess how effectively countries translate investments into productivity highlighting Rwanda’s sustained gains in health, learning, and skills development.
This is a proud and powerful moment for Rwanda, seeing the “Visit Rwanda” brand associated with top clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, FC Bayern Munich, Atlético Madrid, and Arsenal on such a global stage like the UEFA Champions League shows a smart and visionary choice by Rwanda to position itself internationally; it reflects confidence, ambition, and strategic branding, making it truly inspiring to see our country gaining visibility during both the semi-finals and final through the Visit Rwanda partnership.
