About 10–13 FAH terrorists opened small-arms and UBGL fire on the Rading trade crossing in Mand, Balochistan.

The QRF moved in at once and fired back. The attackers fled.

The trade terminal, LPG trucks and other cargo were saved. One customs official was wounded and taken to hospital. The fleeing terrorists took heavy losses.

Hunt continues.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF) of Pakistan, visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar today.

He was briefed on the prevailing security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ongoing counter-terrorism operations, border management measures and operational preparedness of formations deployed in the province.

The COAS & CDF commended the high morale, readiness and professionalism of officers and troops, acknowledging their steadfast commitment to safeguarding the country and its people.

He directed formations to remain vigilant and uphold the highest standards of operational preparedness. He emphasised that the Armed Forces, with the unwavering support of the nation, remain resolute in their determination to defeat terrorism and ensure lasting peace and stability across the country.

He also laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha, paying rich tribute to those who laid down their lives in defence of the motherland and in the fight against terrorism. He reaffirmed that their supreme sacrifices would never be forgotten.

Upon arrival, the COAS & CDF was received by Commander Peshawar Corps.

چھوٹی انتظامی اکائیاں حکومت کو عوام کے قریب لاتی ہیں، ضلعی اور تحصیل سطح پر پولیس، انتظامیہ اور انٹیلیجنس کے درمیان ہم آہنگی بڑھاتی ہیں اور ہر علاقے کی مخصوص جغرافیائی، قبائلی اور سماجی صورتحال کے مطابق سیکیورٹی حکمت عملی بنانے کا موقع دیتی ہیں۔ اس سے نہ صرف دہشت گردوں کی نقل و حرکت پر نظر رکھنا آسان ہوتا ہے بلکہ مقامی آبادی کو اپنا آپ ریاست کا حصہ ��حسوس ہوتا ہے، جس سے ان کے ہاں شدت پسندی کی پذیرائی کم ہوتی ہے۔

اس کے علاوہ چھوٹے یونٹس وسائل کی منصفانہ تقسیم، ترقیاتی کاموں کی تیز رفتار اور پسماندہ علاقوں کی محرومیوں کے خاتمے میں مدد دیتے ہیں، جس سے دہشت گردی کی بنیاد بننے والے اسباب ختم ہو جاتے ہیں۔
جب کوئی علاقہ اپنے بجٹ، اپنی پولیس اور اپنی ترجیحات رکھتا ہے تو وہاں روزگار، تعلیم، صحت اور انصاف تک رسائی بہتر ہوتی ہے اور نوجوانوں کو متبادل راستے ملتے ہیں۔
مقامی قیادت اپنے علاقے کے مسائل سے زیادہ واقف ہوتی ہے اس لیے دہشت گرد نیٹ ورکس کی مالی معاونت، پناہ گاہوں اور نظریاتی پروپیگنڈے کا مقابلہ زیادہ مؤثر طری��ے سے کیا جا سکتا ہے۔
یوں چھوٹے انتظامی یونٹس محض جغرافیائی تقسیم نہیں بلکہ ریاست کی گرفت مضبوط کرنے، عوامی اعتماد بحال کرنے اور دہشت گردی کی جڑوں تک پہنچنے کا ایک عملی ذریعہ بن سکتے ہیں، بشرطیکہ یہ اکائیاں انتظامی ضرورت پر قائم ہوں اور انہیں حقیقی اختیارات اور وسائل دیے جائیں۔

The 9th edition of Pakistan-Russia Joint Exercise Druzhba-IX and the 2nd edition of Pakistan-Oman Joint Exercise Washaq Al Jabal-II (Mountain Lynx-II) commenced today at Cherat and the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Pabbi, respectively.

The two-week exercises bring together contingents from Pakistan Army and their counterparts from the Russian Army and the Royal Army of Oman to share operational experience, refine counter-terrorism drills, procedures and enhance interoperability.

Through joint training and the exchange of best practices, the participating forces will hone their combat skills and tactical expertise while further strengthening bilateral defence cooperation.

Mr. Nicolas Roche, Secretary General for Defence and National Security (SGDSN) of France accompanied by Mr. Jean-Noël Poirier, Ambassador of France to Pakistan, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.

During the meeting matters of mutual interest, including regional security, bilateral cooperation in defence and security domains were discussed.

The COAS & CDF reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening of bilateral ties and further enhancing defence and security cooperation.

Mr. Nicolas Roche acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts to promote regional peace, stability and reciprocated France’s interest in expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Pakistan Secures First Position in ITPF World Cup Qualifier in Oman

Muscat, Oman: Pakistan secured first position in the International Tent Pegging Federation (ITPF) World Cup Qualifier held in Oman and qualifying for the 5th ITPF Tent Pegging World Cup 2026 in Jordan.

The Pakistani contingent, representing the country under the banner of Equestrian Federation of Pakistan (EFP) performed commendably throughout the three-day competition, securing 455 points and finishing at the top of the overall standings.

The team demonstrated a high standard of horsemanship, precision, discipline and technical skill, securing an impressive medal tally of 6 Gold, 5 Silver and 2 Bronze medals across the various events.

The competition featured a range of demanding tent pegging disciplines requiring a high degree of accuracy, coordination and close understanding between horse and rider.

The achievement is a significant milestone for Pakistan’s equestrian sport and reflects the commitment and efforts of the riders, horses, coaches and support staff associated with the Equestrian Federation of Pakistan.

Following its successful campaign in Oman, this team will now represent the country at the 5th Tent Pegging World Cup 2026 in Jordan and compete against Saudi Arabia, India, Oman, South Africa, Egypt, Yemen and Sudan.

In Nushki, FAH terrorists opened fire on a polio team at Killi Jamalabad. 2 police constables(Baloch) embraced martyrdom.
