Northern Kenya Leaders: We got no schools beause you ate our money
RiggyG did not insult Northern Kenya. He exposed an uncomfortable truth. He simply said: let every region build good schools. Why should that offend anyone?
Since 2013, Northern Kenya counties of Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, Isiolo and Marsabit received billions of shillings from the exchequer. Yet today, there is not a single nationally respected public secondary school in the entire region. Even once famous schools like Garbatula have collapsed under the watch of leaders who are accusing RiggyG for challenging them. Instead of answering this simple challenge by showing pictures, our MPs held pressers against RiggG branding, condemning and crying of “profiling.” That is diversionary..
Where are the schools for the children of ordinary folks herders, watchmen, drivers and traders in this region?
Do any of your own children attend schools in your constituencies? Alll of you take your kids to far-flung “good schools” that poor parents in Mandera cannot even afford transport to.
Leadership is not about wearing white kanzus and quoting religion when convenient. It is about accountability. Hiding behind tribal outrage will not educate our children. Emotional blackmail will not build laboratories, libraries or dormitories.
Fear Allah in deeds, not slogans. Our people are suffering not because of critics but because of failed leadership. The truth may be painful, but it is the only place reform begins.
This is the equitable share allocated to the North Eastern counties vs Mulima
Garissa - 8.7 Billion KIRINYAGA - 5.7 Billion
WAJIR- 10.3 Billion Nyeri - 6.8 Billion
Mandera 12.2 Billion Murang’a - 7.8 Billion
Marsabit - 7.9 Billion Kiambu - 12.9 Billion
Isiolo - 6 Billion. Nyandarua - 6.2 Billion
Before launching attacks on Rigathi Gachagua over his remarks, it is important to ask your leaders where this money actually goes
I feel proud seeing another football prospect from Isiolo. This young man, Mohamed Yusuf popularly known as Sparrow, is doing wonders in the U17 competition. Captaining the team and still stepping up to score crucial goals. I believe the future is bright for Isiolo talents.
I have learnt with deep sorrow of the passing on of Isiolo South MP, Hon Mohamed Tubi. On behalf of the government and the people of Kenya, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the people of Isiolo South.
Hon Tubi will be remembered as a dedicated public servant and a passionate advocate for education, who believed in empowering communities through knowledge and opportunity.
His commitment to transforming the lives of his constituents and advancing development in Isiolo stands as a lasting legacy of his leadership.
May the Almighty God rest his soul in eternal peace and comfort his loved ones during this very difficult time.
When Kobe Bryant said his insane level of confidence came from knowing he’d done all he could to prepare, it taught me that anytime I’m nervous it means I didn’t prepare enough.
@GermSeed Nonsense let systems work !!! Let government pay contractors without having to mention someone powerful in government!!! That would have saved the situation!!! Bure we are going to see more casualties!!
