While I was visiting HGES today I saw @MrsAdams2A helping a new student who does not speak English. She has 2 students that utilize a translator on an iPad for communication. She cheerfully described what a cool experience it is to have students from all over the world in class!

Super thanks and shout out to @LisaBarra2007 for stepping up and volunteering to assist in this month’s food bank delivery for Dunlap Gives Back!! #323learns#teamplayer
@cjames_323 I LOVE DuoLingo. I use it to learn Spanish. I tried to use it in my class one year, but it was a bit difficult to initiate, but the potential is there!
Keep Dos Tiburones Afloat! This is an awesome place to dive, with super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Find yourself off the beaten path in the Big Corn Islands and dive, or just hang out at Dos Tiburones. https://t.co/9lZ0OtKeOX
@mandyeellis @casas_jimmy My best friend from Bradley told me he is friends with her principal in the burbs. It is cool when you get to meet awesome authors. ;) I sent her your book and said, "Well i know HER!" haha
@aneks416 We should probably have a Patio PD on that! I would like to give people stickers of my bitmoji. haha... but for real. I need you to show me how to do this.
@LatashaSchraede I think this is so important. The avalanche of negativity can gain momentum quick and before you're aware. For every 1 negative vent, 2 positives...
#323learns A4. I think the power of EVERYONE is a leader is my biggest take away and confidence builder. Working together as a team approach and maintaining an attitude of servitude and kindness
@mrsbergs3rd BEST thing you can do to build positive relationships with parents. Especially for those students who are in trouble more often than not. I had a check list and tried to contact 5 parents a week at random to give a positive note home. It was a lot of extra work, but paid off.
@calliejfry I love to do this when I visit someone else's classroom for former students. I used to do it for ISAT testing as encouragement reminders before the big test
@calliejfry Totally agree!! I did meeting greetings where the kids had to look each other in the face and then high five and say the morning greeting (often from other languages). The problem solving and 2nd Step application done in class meetings is extremely beneficial
#323learns Being part of a system of encouragement.I had a special desk "Awesome Octopus" (Under the sea theme) that the students voted on that boosted a classmate doing something nice or above& beyond. @mica_rych initiated Random Acts of kindness and the trickle effect was BIG
