@TPCarney 100 agree. Here in MN, we are either looking at the sun starting to rise in the 3 o'clock hour in the summer or it being 9am before daylight in winter. My only complaint / request is to to back to pre bush and align to Europe again timing wise.

@txsalth2o The way we are approaching it is to buy a few different homes in our current neighborhood and get them paid off. As (God willing) the boys get married we can gift them a place to start a family and figure out which home makes sense for me and the wife to live.

@rhett_carlson Or parochial school, JP2 was growing, close to capacity but the building was falling apart/no money to fix the building. The kids were moved to a Catholic school in CH, I'm sure those mostly immigrant families see future outside of the city will over time move to CH, NB, Fridley

@aaron_renn I live here and agree. We have an all hands meeting this week in Denver for work. Tulsa was higher on the list of cities being considered than Mpls :-(

@natehoodstp I hope like everything else this is cyclical, but it seems like it will be a while before we have a robust city with a good generational representation. Like our pastor says, if their isn't children's crying during mass then our congregation is dying.

@natehoodstp I've had zero luck convincing couples from our church to stay in the city after they start families. Unfortunately these are the people that have kids (often many) and it seems to them that Minneapolis's priorities are pretty removed from their values (see also MPS closures).
