Doug Ford gets an F.
The legislature sat for 29 days this year.
Doug Ford used that time to buy a jet, try to take over Billy Bishop, and restrict FOI requests to hide his records.
He didn't fix a single thing for people struggling with rent, groceries, or gas.
The Ontario NDP will keep fighting for solutions to make life more affordable.
Reporting from the National Observer shows that passengers numbers are down year over year at Billy Bishop.
Despite that, Doug Ford wants to fly thousands more jets over Toronto's waterfront.
Expanding Billy Bishop benefits American banks, not Ontarians.
In which longtime Liberal Minister Greg Sorbara encourages Toronto MPs to find their voice and stand up for our waterfront! And @juliedabrusin, you are making Sorbara depressed by not responding to his email. Dignify him with a response please.

Per @ChantalHbert, PM @MarkJCarney has said: "I don't want to hear what people are against, we want to hear what they're for." And that's good. Here's what we are for: A #Toronto#Waterfront that's economy & environment are vibrant, home to people, jobs, splendid parks @NoJetsTO
I'll say this every time. Billy Bishop works as is because the scale fits into Toronto's Waterfront. Plans to expand it will break that balance. Toronto's been developing its waterfront as a residential/commercial/recreational space. It works. Why break that now?
Rob, don’t leave as one of your government’s legacies a permanent stain on the central waterfront of Canada’s largest city. There is no undoing this if it goes ahead, meanwhile Pearson is directly connected to Union Station, and investing billions in its own expansion.
Simply put: there are too many unknowns to make an informed decision on an expansion of Billy Bishop.
Before considering expansion, we will need a clear, evidence-based business case; comprehensive consultations with the people of Toronto; and guaranteed protection of the surrounding environment.
With declining ridership at Billy Bishop, expanding Toronto Pearson through Pearson LIFT makes more sense than the current Billy Bishop proposal.
Expanding @BBishopAirport (see plan below) is another case of @fordnation wanting to do what @BarackObama calls Stupid Shit. @MarkJCarney's call for public consultation and a serious planning study could stop this disaster.

From the @TorontoStar’s @mahdishabibinia: Nieuport Aviation’s city lobbyists appear to be violating the same rules as their provincial and federal counterparts. https://t.co/1Q2hNyKuQB
Nice to see the concern but @RunChiNguyenRun needs to join @Rob_Oliphant in opposing the Jet Port nightmare. It can only come forward from the Toronto Port Authority and the federal government fully controls it. #NoJetsTO#TOPoli#cdnpoli
Pro Tip: If you're a Torontonian looking to participate in this "consultation process", the steps are very simple. First, find the office address for your MP. Second, protest outside every single day with a megaphone. Repeat Step Two until the MP cannot mentally take it anymore.
Community consultations are absolutely critical, but the choice facing the Prime Minister is clear. Premier Ford is in the middle of a land grab, and the federal government has both the power and the responsibility to stop this irresponsible and anti-democratic move.
The fact that Doug Ford seized the land from the City of Toronto in order to ram through a project owned and operated by American banking giant JP Morgan tells you all you need to know about who will benefit from his plan.
Prime Minister Carney ran on a promise to protect Canadians from Donald Trump and stand up for Canadian sovereignty. He cannot sit on the fence while Doug Ford hands more power to Wall Street.
Like Ontario Place, the Science Centre, and so much more, Doug Ford is acting as though Toronto is a playground for him and his CEO friends. It isn't. Toronto belongs to the people, and the people don't need or want the jets, noise, traffic, and pollution that this massive expansion would bring.

“Committees still sit,” Premier Ford said this week, defending the record-long summer break at Queen's Park.
But PC MPPs are now trying to cancel all summer meetings of the committee that reviews government appointments, calling it "routine" scheduling: https://t.co/LrItfUDO5S
