Huskies win their final regular season game 27-22 on their home turf. Huskies play in the first round of the playoffs at Storz Rugby Complex on Tuesday 5/14 @ 6pm. @OPSNorthwest
Finally the future looks bright with many juniors returning and a talented group of freshmen and sophomores getting valuable playing time and experience to provide a strong foundation moving into the 2020 season
Huskies fall: 20-32
We battled a very physical Gretna team all game long, closing the margin to 20-27 with a few minutes to go but a late line break by Gretna sealed it in the final minutes. Strong season, finished 6-1, multiple graduating seniors emptied the tank tonight.
We have many graduating seniors who joined last year and this year that have been vital team members: Alfaro Pony, Brian Carnes, Aiden Morse, Chance Jones-Woods, Jack Blatter, Keegan Clark, Randy Ramos, and Josh Makaya.
Huskies were back in action today and went 2-0 in the beginning of the year tournament.
You can catch us in action next on 4/13 at 10am at Storz Rugby Complex
Huskies lost to a solid Sioux City team in the rain today 10-35. Finish 6th overall in the league. Congrats to our seniors who graduate tomorrow, you will be successful young men! Lot of returning players looking forward to next year already!
29 of the 32 first-round draft picks were two-sport athletes and 14 of the 29 were three-sport athletes. Next time your personal trainer or your coach tells you you need to specialize in football, maybe you really need a new trainer or coach.
Huskies fall to Millard 65-7. Started strong. First 15 minutes were solid but then lack of depth reared it’s ugly head. We showed up with 16 players and had one hurt early. With no subs we got worn out and Millard stepped on the gas.
On a miserable day the Huskies fell to @gretnarugbyclub 5-20. With lots of new faces on the team this year we still came out strong and played physical and disciplined, especially for our first game. Just need to work on fitness so we can finish off strong.
