Cowboys CB Joey Porter Jr. knows exactly how many receptions he’s allowed this season: 2
Porter: “Two little 5-yard outs or whatever. I’m pissed about it. … As a DB, you never want to give up anything. I really hold myself to a high standard when I’m on the field. I definitely don’t want to give up any passes to anybody I don’t think I should be giving up passes to.”
Porter on shutting down WRs to where the QB doesn’t throw his way vs. getting opportunities to intercept passes: “It’s both. I enjoy when I get games where they try me like the Packers game. I had fun because I got a lot of targets. I don’t really get that often. So when you’re in the kitchen and in the fire like that, it’s kind of fun to show off your talents.”
Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer on their penalties Monday night: “The pre-snap penalties, those have to stop. We can’t jump offsides. They did a good job with their cadence, but we’re better than that. That’s not being very disciplined. You saw, if you jump offsides, we take you out.
“Some of the other ones, when you look at them, and again, the roughing the passer, it happens. I do think that, again at the end of the day, it was five penalties for us, none for them early in the game. But we have to be better.
“I was proud of ourselves, we had eight total penalties, one in the second half and that was on purpose. So we got better in the second half with that. But you can’t have the self-inflicted wounds pre-snap.”
This is worse than what Randy Moss did to the Cowboys.
Holy shit. I haven't even turned the sound on yet but don't plan to after seeing comments.
What happened? This thing looked so promising. Now it looks like a MadTV pilot.
Friendly reminder that the #rbsdontmatter crowd was never disrespect to any individual.
It was about how all runs aren't created equal. Send your man into a 9 man box like he's Adrian Peterson isn't the same as counter zone.
It's was about wasted reps and player damage.
If you're 17 you're probably pissed but don't remember seeing that tatted up twink moaning shirtless on stage or Mick Jagger in a tube top.
Getting pressed about a halftime show more gay than a Studio 54 after party.
