Of course, because his father wanted to hold on to his beliefs because of how they allowed him to function.
Germans generally supported Hitler for a while after the fall of France, but the elements that wanted to eliminate him didn't act at the time because they feared that even if they succeeded in assassinating him, the NSDAP was so popular at the time that they would find a way to hold onto power (and put to death all those involved in the attempted coup).
For fuck's sake get a clue, Hitler wasn't a colonel (high-ranking officer) he was analogous to a corporal, and many of those who plotted against him were either socialists (real ones, not "national socialists") or coming from a place of Christian religiosity (as well as Prussian aristocrats and/or traditionally conservative nationalists yes).
@ZhuoShiLi1@DarrohP@D162Michele What if they just want to run their own church without "oversight" from the government? Does that make them clowns or does that make you a clown for questioning it?
@D162Michele Not if it's a country where churches are supposed to register with the government to be "official" (and cede control over certain aspects of their guidance).
@BobHiggins_PDS@fem_mb@Zeev81309559 Because atrocities (not "alleged") don't kill *everyone*? Wow, "nobody can explain" (to Bob), that was difficult (not).
@rittenhouse_o@nxt888 The money goes to entitlements and the military, arguably too much goes to education in a sense because it removes incentives for educational institutions to control costs.
@vic108440270@dhe3g The people who were living there still wanted (and still do) want to stay there, your admixture of cherry-picked history and mental gymnastics notwithstanding.
@Pappapyoung@DefiyantlyFree But what if you disagree about the direction America goes with what it gets back, is it still anti-Semitic to question why we funnel so much money through Israel?
@erikfinman@DefiyantlyFree What about those who criticize the military-industrial complex in general and have the ability to differentiate between discretionary and non-discretionary spending?
