@deb_fillman @mrS_laughter @ConceptualJames@Moms4Liberty@iamlisalogan@kellyske@coddlethis42 I can think of thousands of examples of teaching children concepts bigger than they have yet experienced. “You shall not covet your neighbors wife”?? Hell, even the pledge of allegiance says “liberty and justice for all”. Delete this entire thread. It’s embarrassing
@PartyHkt I hear you. I don’t know that I meant you thought it was rude. I’ve got a number of comments that it is the polite thing to do and I’m more responding to that concept. I’m still overwhelmed that my silly tweet stirred so much. But at least it ain’t politics!
@PeteSlasher@UberFacts I mean, after world peace of COURSE this would be top priority. My advocacy is for repeat sneezers and the blessings, so awkward when you do the 1st bless you and have to choose to let it be 1 and done, commit all the way, or wait till it’s over. BRUTAL
@mistyj124@UberFacts This is a good point and related to why I dislike it (besides the silly origins) because it has also become this thing that creates judgement.
@JohnyTwoTimes13@UberFacts How is that related at all? Bless you isn’t in response to them shocking you. Even if a sneeze shocks you, the bless you related. However, I DO quite enjoy the idea of switching from bless you to holy shit every time someone sneezes. That sounds glorious.
@iHaveALiveAce @UberFacts Tell that to the dude obsessed with it being about the plague, not demons. There are many reasons why we do it. All of them are silly.
@anatomychant@UberFacts It is really strange that a silly reply to a silly question is considered upset. Every time I read this take I wonder do none of you have regular conversations in real life?
@RoadwalkerMedia@UberFacts It’s funny that you think my saying this means I’m unkind. I don’t find the act of saying bless as kind or unkind. I find it weird that we do it when all of the origins are silly. And that’s ok. You like it, you say it. Easy peasy lemon squeezey
@joetylercfc@UberFacts Sir, are you ok? What are you gaining here? I answered a silly little question on twitter and you’re obsessed with it being about the plague. Cool, thanks. I’ve already made clear that is weird too. All weird.
@DJBattyBoy@UberFacts Nope. Normalize not making people apologize for their bodies, especially for an action they can’t control. Again, only valid ask is to cover their mouth. Not doing that is the only nasty action.
@DJBattyBoy@UberFacts Why? People owe each other absolutely nothing except please cover your mouth. I don’t need someone to ask me to excuse them for a bodily function. Maybe a fart since that can affect my nose. Other than that, just let people live.
@joetylercfc@UberFacts There are many different origins my friend. Some people will tell you it is b/c your hearts stops when you sneeze. Regardless of the reason, it’s weird.
@AnnCoulter 🙋🏼♀️ Me. There are so many cops down there than ever before. They do nothing..I think on purpose. They were never defunded, we gave them more $ in fact. Less ppl on streets and subways, more police, yet crime is up. Hochul isn’t the problem.
