As a minority entrepreneur with no connections, while pitching I quickly discovered my shot at rasing funds was dead before it began. Everything the YouTube videos told me to include in my deck was completely irrelevant. I didn’t have the developer that left Google to join me. I didn’t drop out of fill in the blank University to pursue my Startup dreams. I have a wife and kids to support. TAMs and other acronyms mean nothing when you don't have the most important box checked. (I’ll leave that one up to you) I'm excited that the landscape is changing thanks to AI and more solo founders like myself that can’t convince META developers to leave their 200k salary jobs to join my 1% probability of success Startup. $200/month for Gemini ultra is well worth it if you’re developing an app for web or mobile that’s multi-layered. Logins, profiles, interactive, dynamic etc. but if users are just uploading and your outputting, it’s not needed. The more it does, consider upgrading.

Then I learned Zapier, and Make, and Pabbly & Manychat, and API’s and ChatGPT and n8n. I went from un-backable, to spending 7yrs becoming a master at if this than that logic and a total BA in automation. Unbeknownst to me, I was becoming perfectly positioned for the era of today.

So I put my dreams of building apps on the back burner. I spent the next few years learning how to become a marketer. I got heavy into building chatbots, and that became my niche. Why am I building bots? Why an agency? But I saw how bots are better than landing pages. So onward
